Right, Iām at the point Iām looking to take on a part time member of staff.
Initially this will be just be on an adhoc basis so will fit around your other commitments with the potential to become something regular. This will initially be a zero hour contract with no set hours or days.
Iām going to be extremely picky about who I take on because this business is my baby and I will not have my reputation ruined by someone who thinks itās just a bit of easy money, because it isnāt, itās hard graft and youāll need an eye for detail and be physically fit. šŖ
Youāll need to drive and have access to a car but initially youāll be working along side me until I can trust you to work alone š. So I would consider someone who doesnāt yet drive.
youāll also need to have a clear DBS, ideally on the update service.
š¤If youāre going to phone in sick because you sneezed twice, or because your boyfriend went out last night and hasnāt come home yet please donāt waste my time. I need someone reliable who actually wants to work. Youāll also need to be prepared to work when itās warm and sunny and not sack it off because youād rather be in a beer garden.
š¤Confidentially is also a big deal to me, some of my clients donāt want the world to know theyāve hired a cleaner, and this can be for various reasons, so I donāt want you going home and telling your friends that youāre now cleaning for XYZ, or disclosing information about their homes or lifestyle.
ā° typical hours would be 9am-4pm, again when I say 9am, that will mean we are at the clients house, ready to start by 9am and not quarter past. Of course I understand that things can happen and we may occasionally run late but if itās a regular occurrence, Iād be looking for a replacement.
It might sound like Iām asking for a lot, but in return, youāll gain experience, skills and a good hourly rate. Oh and youāll also get to spend the day with me š¤£
