Imagine paying a cleaner for 2 hours every week for the last few years out of your pension money and yet all of the woodwork in your small house still looks like this 😱🥺. (Some of it is much much worse than the picture 😢)

This is what I found today on a new regular clean I’ll be doing.

It’s going to take me some time to get it all up to a good standard of cleanliness but I’ll get there.

I’m also not going to be charging this elderly, disabled person more for a deep clean because these are things that should have been getting taken care of by previous cleaners in the ample time they had there.

Part of me also wants to take a tin of gloss paint with me next week but I need to remember I’m a cleaner not a painter & decorator 🤣.

Week one of Maid in Padiham being full time has gone better than I could have imagined.

I’ve met 7 new lovely families and all are now booked in for regular cleans with me in their beautiful homes. Lots of new enquiries and more new bookings for next week too.

Thank you again for your support, bookings, shares & likes. It doesn’t go unnoticed & I appreciate you all.

I’m now more than ready for a weekend spent with family & friends and ready to do it all again from Monday 🥰

Right, I’m at the point I’m looking to take on a part time member of staff.

Initially this will be just be on an adhoc basis so will fit around your other commitments with the potential to become something regular. This will initially be a zero hour contract with no set hours or days.

I’m going to be extremely picky about who I take on because this business is my baby and I will not have my reputation ruined by someone who thinks it’s just a bit of easy money, because it isn’t, it’s hard graft and you’ll need an eye for detail and be physically fit. 💪

You’ll need to drive and have access to a car but initially you’ll be working along side me until I can trust you to work alone 🙈. So I would consider someone who doesn’t yet drive.
you’ll also need to have a clear DBS, ideally on the update service.

🤒If you’re going to phone in sick because you sneezed twice, or because your boyfriend went out last night and hasn’t come home yet please don’t waste my time. I need someone reliable who actually wants to work. You’ll also need to be prepared to work when it’s warm and sunny and not sack it off because you’d rather be in a beer garden.

🤐Confidentially is also a big deal to me, some of my clients don’t want the world to know they’ve hired a cleaner, and this can be for various reasons, so I don’t want you going home and telling your friends that you’re now cleaning for XYZ, or disclosing information about their homes or lifestyle.

⏰ typical hours would be 9am-4pm, again when I say 9am, that will mean we are at the clients house, ready to start by 9am and not quarter past. Of course I understand that things can happen and we may occasionally run late but if it’s a regular occurrence, I’d be looking for a replacement.

It might sound like I’m asking for a lot, but in return, you’ll gain experience, skills and a good hourly rate. Oh and you’ll also get to spend the day with me 🤣

Well I’m certainly being kept busy with cleans but I do still have a couple of gaps for anyone wanting to get booked in.

I’m also now able to expand the services I offer to include shopping visits, appointments, meal preparation or just general companionship visits.

Having worked in health & social care for over 20 years, I’m experienced & trained in dementia care, safeguarding, food safety and many more. I have an enhanced DBS and I can provide references.
