One of our FoPL members, Oona Kelly, who travels from Swaffham in Norfolk, has been swimming further afield this summer. She told us:
"I have been using my Lido swim hat all summer in Ireland. I took part in the Belmullet Open Water Half Mile and refused to wear the event hat. I have included a map but just to say it's pretty far West!
Congratulations on a brilliant season at the Lido. All those involved deserve so much credit."

We've now moved to our Lite Season opening hours for the last few weeks of what has been a great 90th birthday season 😊

Still plenty of time to make the most of heated outdoor swimming 👇

Today is Heritage Day across the city. As part of the celebrations, entrance to the Lido is free. Booking is advisable.

Enjoy your swim in this iconic art deco pool and a chance to look at the historic timeline display from 1936 to present day.

As part of this year's Heritage Open Days, the Lido will be open for free swimming on Saturday 12th September.

Have a swim, soak up the atmosphere and view our history with our specially commissioned timeline to mark our 90th year 🎉

The Kings School Swimming Gala returned to the Lido for the second year running.
Congratulations to all the successful swimmers.

Congratulations to St Oswald’s, winners of our 2026 House Swimming Gala!

It was fantastic to return to Peterborough Lido for the second time in recent years and see our students competing for their Houses in such a brilliant setting.

A very special thank you must go to Miss Henson and Mrs White for their outstanding organisation, determination and perseverance in making the event happen, particularly after the Gala had to be postponed earlier in the year.

Well done to everyone who competed, supported their House and helped make the evening such a success — and congratulations once again to St Oswald’s! 🏆

Enjoy swimming in the fresh air a little longer this year 

It might be back to school week for lots of people, but there's still plenty of time for heated outdoor swimming! 😃

After a great summer, we've extended our peak season timetable for an extra week. This means that we're still open all day, 7 days a week, until 13th September. Evening swims are on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We'll then move into the 'lite' season on 14th September with a reduced timetable until the end of the month.
