📣 Catch-Up Round-Up: 15 June – 3 July
It has been a busy few weeks, with 24 sessions and 380 attendances across social sessions, Youth Café, Evolve, DofE, Greenpower and X-Hale. Here are the highlights ✨
✅ Sessions delivered: 24
✅ Total attendances: 380
Across our Monday Social sessions, young people fixed bikes, made props, played Uno, enjoyed ice creams and walked to Shimmings Valley to explore the woods and river.
Youth Café brought people together through red velvet cake, shakshuka and lemon meringue, creating space for cooking, catch-ups and conversation.
Evolve sessions included river dipping at Shimmings Valley, crafts, football, games, solar oven building and plenty of time for young people to relax with friends.
DofE groups made great progress: Bronze completed expedition packing and review sessions, Silver finished route cards and supported a joint fundraiser with Petworth Tennis Club, and Gold completed micro-navigation training plus route planning for a four-day expedition.
Greenpower has been packed too, with wind tunnel building and testing, race briefings and debriefs, plus F24 and F24+ racing at Predannack over three days.
The Goblins team also had a brilliant day at Goodwood with Petworth Primary School, winning 1st place for their portfolio 🏆. Greenpower celebrated two 1st places, a 3rd place and a Spirit of Greenpower award.
X-Hale offered calm, creative evenings with nail painting, board games, smoothies, heat transfers, cake, ice cream and good conversations.
