Good morning! Happy Easter to you all. Here’s hoping for some Easter sunshine!
My ladies are doing ok. I have 5 during the week now so im pretty busy. Mrs B hasn’t been too good on her poorly legs so ive been doing her shopping and driving her to hospital appointments. She hasnt been able to see her poorly son in hospital for 5 weeks now due to him being in quarantine but fingers crossed next week we will be able to go in.🥰
Mrs O is now feeling better after a cough which made her feel a bit low. We have had some nice trips out in the sunshine and that always perks her up, ive given her a few nail pampers as well 😉. She is adjusting to her new surroundings well and has a few of her home comforts in her new room to make it feel a little less alien. Shes always happy come come out with me and we chat constantly, shes a delight 😍
Mrs G is doing ok, shes confined to bed now but enjoys her fresh snacks that i bring in for her especially chocolate and cakes!! She seems happy during my visits though.
Miss K is doing great. Shes quite the social butterfly and is quite often missing family phone calls because she is downstairs socialising and having fun winning at Bingo which is just great! 😆
Her life has changed so much since she moved and has said its the best thing that could have happened. Im so thrilled for her because if there was a time i couldn’t make it in to her, i know she would be absolutely fine and not alone. 🥰
Mrs M loves a friday jaunt out somewhere, sometimes a bit hesitant when i arrive but once shes in the car her whole persona changes and she loves it, wherever we go. Once again we are not stop chatting. I always get a lovely cuddle when i leave as well. ( i love a hug🥰).

Hi all,
I cant reiterate this enough for everyone….
As we get older so do our beloved parents. One of the main things to do that is SO important is to get Power of Attorney. Your loved ones may live a happy and healthy life till they pass, but sadly some dont. The Power of Attorney is the permission for you to have that loved ones voice when they can’t anymore. The authorities ( Adult social services, council, Doctors, Banks etc) require this to help you. Without it you are powerless to help.
Trust me it will be the best thing you ever do for your loved one.

Here are some of my past and present clients, dating back from 2017, a few from the beginning arn’t here as they were quite poorly but im still in touch with a few of their famillies🥰
I love what i do, and ive been very honoured to be part of their lives when they needed a bit of extra support. I wish more people did this. Its the most rewarding job, but being their friend is very special indeed.

Evening everyone.
Im so glad we are done with January. Its been a very busy long month.
I have taken on another lady on a Tuesday morning. I used to look after her hubby a few years back until he passed away. But now its for a different reason, her son has sadly been hospitalised after a stroke and he was her only way of getting out to appointments and shopping etc, so im now taking her to see her son and getting shopping on the way home. Im glad they reached out as of course i am happy to help and they know they can trust me.
Mrs G has moved to a new room in her nursing home and she has some astounding views, shes very happy with that, and is always smiley when i go in.
Miss K is doing great. Loving her bit of freedom to do what ever she wants and being independent. Its great to see her happy.
Mrs O has been taken poorly and in hospital right now. But shes doing great, she is being looked after well and was very happy when i spent the afternoon with her today.
Mrs M is also doing great. We just always seem to get hammered by bad weather on our trips out!! We just want to see the Spring now please!! Lol
Sorry its just a quick update this time. I just dont know where my days are going right now, it seems the weeks are over in a blink!!
Hopefully more photos to come soon when we have some nicer weather.

Good evening! Well another year is almost ending. The end of my 9th year doing Butterfly Smiles! I start my 10th year on January 6th! How quick has that time flown past?!! I have met some truly lovely people and their families on this journey. When i started, i didnt have a clue what i was doing or what i was getting myself into. But i had such positive feedback from Facebook, so just went with the flow. Im so glad i did. I have learnt so much about people and their needs. So it gives me a base to help others.
The journey i had with my own dear mum taught me alot. I started doing this to work around my mum which worked, so i could help her and continue helping other people. Now mums gone im carrying on as i know she would want me to do this to the best of my ability. 🥰
Id like to thank all of my clients and their families past and present for the last 9 years. You have supported and encouraged me and my little business and that means so much. Its always so sad to say goodbye but i take comfort in knowing i was their friend in their latter years, and that was a privilege and an honour. 🥰
So here we are approaching Christmas 2025.
My lovely ladies are all doing well.
Mrs G is happy in her new nursing care surroundings and eating and drinking well. She still loves to have her nails painted and enjoy some treats ☺️
Mrs O is doing great, we are always off out somewhere for a cuppa or a hot choc, or even some shopping. This lady smiles non stop, shes a real treasure to take out. 😊
Mrs M is quite happy. Always a bit down on my arrival but as soon as shes in the car her spirit lifts and shes a different lady! Big smiles, laughing and joking. 😊
My Miss K is now a social butterfly! Shes never home to receive any phonecalls! I have her family messaging me to make sure shes ok! 🤣🤣She made the best move ever last year and is so happy and made lots of new friends. Her family couldn’t be more happy for her. Ill enclose some photos below.
Just would also like to say thankyou to my lovely ladies for my christmas gifts ive received and are now under my tree 😜 thats very thoughtful 🥰
So this being my last post for 2025 id like to wish you all a merry christmas and a happy and healthy 2026!

Hey everyone,
I will be off work for a few weeks now while i have a little operation on my foot. So bear with me.
All my lovely clients are doing well.
Mrs G has now moved into nursing care but is quite happy and well cared for. 💖
Miss K is still happy and becoming very independant with her mobility scooter doing her shopping, which is so lovely to see. 💖
Mrs O is doing well. We do her quiz afternoons with her U3A group, and in between weeks we go off somewhere, she likes clothing shopping. We non stop chat when we are together. Its great fun 💖
Mrs M is doing well also, takes a little persuading to get her to come out but once shes out she loves it. I took her to Buckfast Abbey this week and she really enjoyed it and said she was so glad she went. 💖
I will have a few spaces free coming up once im back to work.
So if you know someone that would like some company please get in touch.
Well ill catch up with you all in a few weeks!!

Evening everyone!
Hello October! Omg where is this year going!!
So all not too bad on the Butterfly Smiles front!
I need to introduce a new lady who has recently joined me. Welcome Mrs M, she is with me once a week for a couple of hours. We have had two outings now and the photos say it all. Shes up for a giggle and i love that! But her daughters wanted her to have some time out with someone different, me! Of course. One advantage is i was at school with one of her daughters so she knows who i am and what i do and trusts me to look after her mum which is lovely. So Mrs M likes to shop lol two trips to Matalan and two big bags of warm winter clothes. 😆 then back to hers for a cuppa and a natter. I think we have hit it off quite well. Photos say it all. 😁
Miss K is still doing great, loving her independence as now she has a mobility scooter! We have adjusted to our change of days now and she still loves getting out. Photo below.
Mrs O is so lovely also, we just dont stop yapping! We’ve had a trip into plymouth and Endsleigh these last few weeks and do her quizzes every other week with her U3A friends. Photo below.
Mrs R is doing well also. We put the world to rights and we often tackle a crossword or two plus i do her nails every week too.
Mrs G, bless her, she is still in hospital but being very well looked after. She is made of strong stuff! To see her little face light up when she sees me just makes my day.
So as the evenings draw darker please keep an eye out for our elderly friends. The older generation tend to hide themselves away during the winter months so keep a watchful eye on whether the curtains are open? Lights on when they shouldnt be or lights off when they are normally on? It doesnt hurt to just knock and check that they are ok. Im sure they would appreciate someone caring to do so. You would be surprised how much of a difference that would make.

Hi everyone.
Just a little update before i have a well deserved first week off of the year! Lol
So My lovely Miss K is doing well. We have now swapped days as i am looking after my grandaughter for one day of the week now. But i popped in to see her yesterday with Eliza as she was dying to meet her. Eliza didnt fail to entertain 🤣she was so funny making Miss K laugh. ( pic below)
Mrs G is still quite poorly but hanging in there with incredible strength. She still loves me to do her nails even though it sends her to sleep but shes always so pleased to see me which is lovely.
Mrs R is doing ok also. She loves to have her nails done as well. She gets a bit sleepy at times but we still have a good natter and i always fix her lunch and refresh her drinks before i leave.
My new lady Mrs O is a delight. I join her for her 2 weekly quiz afternoons with her friends and on opposite weeks we just shoot off somewhere for a wander and a cuppa. We just dont stop chatting. She always gives me a lovely hug when i leave as well. 🥰
After my week off i will have new lady starting with me on a friday afternoon. She is the mum of one of my school friends. Shes had a bit of a rough time and her daughter messaged me as they would like me to give her a few hours to get her out and give her a change of scenery. So im looking forward to that.
So ill update again in a couple weeks.

Evening everyone,
So i still have a very poorly Mrs G, im still able to see her at the mo twice a week and i still get lovely smiles whenever i visit 🥰.
Miss K is still doing great although i didnt see her last week as i attended Mr T’s funeral and paid my respects 😔.
Mrs R is doing well. I paint her nails every week and attempt a crossword then we put the world to rights.
I will now introduce you to Mrs O. We’ve had a couple of trips out now and its been lovely. We non stop chat the whole time! Im looking forward to this week with her. Ill post a lil pic below from our last outing (with family’s permission)
Im loving this sunny weather with my clients, making the most of it as i hate winter lol.
Now to start a new week!

Morning everyone, sorry this has taken a while after my last post but its been a rollercoaster of a few weeks. As ive said we lost Mr T a few weeks ago which was heartbreaking. I will be attending his funeral this coming Monday to pay my respects💔.
On another sad note my Mrs G who ive had for over 7 years is now on end of life care after falling very poorly last weekend. Ive grown very close to her family and they are keeping me posted, i said my goodbyes to her yesterday 💔. Im only human, i get to really know my lovely people so losing them feels like losing family. I treat them no different as if they were family. We laugh, we joke and we cry, thats just how i am. When we go out im not just their “paid support worker” im their trusted friend. We enjoy each others company and that makes such a difference to them, knowing they have regular visits. 🙂
It was Miss K’s 73rd birthday yesterday. She kept saying to me that she wants to forget birthdays as she was getting older. But naughty me let it slip to staff in the sheltered living where she is and she got ‘Happy Birthday🥳’ shouted at her everywhere! 😁 she loves it really lol. I took her card and flowers in the day before as it was my day off. Shes had many cards, visits and gifts sent to her. Shes still very happy where she is and never feels lonely anymore which is just wonderful.
Mrs R is doing ok. 😃We sit and chat, we sometimes do water painting or we try the crosswords, in between her little cat naps. She seems quite happy though, putting the world to rights with me.
I have just had a new lady start with me. I have worked with the family before and i was honoured to be contacted by them again to help someone else. Mrs O. Shes very independent and loves to go out. After our first initial meeting at her house with herself and her son, which went well. We had our first trip out to Otter nurseries which is a place she likes to go. We talked and talked and it was so nice getting to know her. Im looking forward to our next trip out next Tuesday.
A couple of my days are changing around in September as im having my grandaughter on a Monday ( cant wait!) as my daughter finishes her maternity leave and heads back to work for a couple of days a week, but all of that is sorted now.
I hope everyone is keeping well. Enjoy this lovely fine weather while we have it!😎
