With warmer weather ahead, we want everyone to enjoy our beaches β€” and stay safe.

We are aware that jet ski rides are being offered from our beaches. Please think carefully before accepting a ride. Jet skis can be powerful, and going out to sea carries real risks, especially if you don’t know the person or their experience.

You should never feel pressured to join a ride and should always wear appropriate safety gear. Parents and carers, please talk to young people about the risks.

For more information on staying safe in the water, please visit our website:

Take the bus for FREE on Thursday 18 June for Clean Air Day. Services will be free across all First Bus and Stagecoach services, as well as Pompey Link, if you're boarding anywhere in the Portsmouth boundary.

If you don’t usually travel by bus, this is a great chance to give it a try - whether it’s the school run, the journey to work, or a trip across the city.

Bus services in Portsmouth have improved over the past few years, with more frequent and reliable routes, better waiting areas and more accessible vehicles. More people are already making the switch, with over one million bus journeys taking place in the city every month. On 18 June, you can see for yourself how easy it is.
