The Big Conversation II was great to be part of - thank you so much to The Lancashire Skills & Employment Hub and everyone involved 🤩

Our Nina and Yvette represented Selnet and our service, with project delivery partners Kerry and Ve from Beanstalk Skills Academy.

⭐ "It was great to join together and catch up on what collaboration can make possible. We're rooted in the power of collaborating and networking! It was a pleasure to meet The Rt Hon Dame Patricia Hewitt DBE and talk about the successes and impacts of WorkWell in Preston at a roundtable the day before.

"Social enterprises make real change happen - that's why Selnet was set up 20 years ago, and it's why we are part of big conversations - For People, For Business, For Good. We develop and lead successful partnership services, and we support, promote and build our sector!" - Nina Cowell

💬 A Year of Making a Difference - such a wide range of social impacts in action from Communicate SLT CIC and fantastic to see 🤩

Celebrating the difference we make together.

At Communicate SLT CIC, supporting children and young people with their communication is at the heart of what we do. Our 2025–26 update also celebrates the ways we support our wider community.

48 hours of time and £300 donated to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.

Student placements and work experience to support learning and development.
Raising awareness of communication differences, including DLD, AAC and neurodiversity.

Helping our team grow through a coaching culture.

Our update also recognises the importance of fair pay through its focus on the Living Wage Foundation.

Every contribution helps us build a more supportive community where communication is valued.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this work.

"Peter believed strongly in what our social enterprises could offer. For him, they were never simply activities or services. They were for people to build , develop , learn new , contribute, work and be as equals within their communities." - Integrate Preston and Chorley Ltd, in memory of Social Enterprise Champion Peter Green

🏵️ Our Under One Roof service provides essential household items and a range of support to overcome challenges - and we're recruiting an Application and Pathway Coordinator to be part our service that makes a real difference to Lancashire residents when they need it most:

💬 Client feedback: "I was left with no appliances, nothing to sleep on - my son in a travel cot and we were keeping our food in the garden. It would have taken me months to save up for 1 of those items and you helped me out massively to make my house into a home. I am completely happy with my life now - I would not be in this position without these facilities and your help. It’s an amazing thing to have this fresh start."

⭐ We are recruiting an Application & Pathway Coordinator to join our Inclusion Services team as we prepare to launch Lancashire County Council’s new Resilience & Essential Needs Support Scheme on 1st December 2026.
