A day out of the office… and into the show field 🐑🚜

Last week Liz and Katie spent the day at the Westmorland County Show, where they bumped into some old friends, caught up with clients from the farming community, talked with other professionals and, of course, found time for a brew or two.

A highlight had to be taking the time to look around some of the livestock and watching some of the judging.

For us, agricultural shows are a great opportunity to stay connected with the farmers, rural businesses and professionals we work alongside throughout the year.

Laptops off, party mode on! ☀️🥂

Over the weekend we enjoyed a lovely get together at The Barn at Scorton for our summer party.

There were games, plenty of laughs, a lovely buffet and, of course, we made sure there was room for dessert. 🍰

It was great to get everyone together away from the day-to-day, have some fun and enjoy a brilliant afternoon as a team.

It’s not usually one big thing.

When we speak to businesses thinking about changing accountants, it’s not usually about a big thing.

It’s usually the little things.

Maybe they’re doing more of the chasing. They’re getting the numbers, but not much advice. Their business has grown, while the support around it hasn’t. Or they’ve started wondering whether they could be getting more.

It’s often those little niggles that build up.

One of the things we hear from new clients is that they’d thought about changing accountants for a while but kept putting it off because they expected the process to be complicated.

Then they’re surprised by how straightforward it actually is.

£5,000 for Elsie - what an amazing community we have!

A few weeks ago, we held our Great Towers & Gornall Bake-Off for Elsie, and we’re delighted to share the final total.

A massive thank you to everyone who baked, donated, volunteered, bought a raffle ticket, came along on the day or simply helped spread the word. Together, you helped us raise an incredible £3,500.

We’ve added a further £1,500 from our T&G Community Fund, bringing the total donation to an amazing £5,000 to help Elsie continue accessing the therapies and treatment she needs.

We couldn’t have done it without all the brilliant cake makers, volunteers and members of our community who got behind us and made the day so special.
