Another successful solar installation completed ☀️
Could your home be next?
17 panels on this one, 10 on the front of the roof, 7 on the back. Which is worth saying, because a roof doesn't have to face one perfect direction to be worth doing. Split across two faces, you catch the morning on one side and the afternoon on the other.
Here's the full system:
🔆 17 x 465W panels — 7.9kW in total
⚡ Hanchu 5kW hybrid inverter
🔋 Hanchu 9.2kWh battery storage
🔌 Gateway fitted for backup power
🛡️ Extended 7-year warranty across the whole system — not just the battery
The gateway is the bit most people don't know to ask about. When the street loses power, the majority of solar systems shut down with it, even with a full battery sitting there. With a gateway fitted, the house keeps running.
And the storage is where the savings actually come from. Your roof makes most of its energy around lunchtime, when nobody's home. Without a battery, you sell that to the grid for pennies, then buy it straight back at 6pm, kettle and oven and telly all on at once, at full price. 9.2kWh holds it back for the evening instead.
We asked Wayne why he'd done it, expecting the usual answer. We got a better one:
"I wanted to support the production of clean energy and save money."
Both. There's no reason to pick one.
Now could be the perfect time to make the switch to solar and start enjoying cleaner, smarter energy for your home.
