π¨ A serious reminder for local businesses: fire safety cannot be ignored.
A Kidderminster business owner has received a two-year suspended prison sentence and financial penalties totalling Β£28,458.70 after repeatedly breaching a Prohibition Notice and obstructing fire safety inspectors.
Inspectors found a tampered-with fire alarm, locked final exits, unprotected escape routes and breaches in fire compartmentation β putting occupants at serious risk.
Having a fire risk assessment is only part of the process. Identified risks must be addressed, and fire safety measures maintained.
At CT Fire Risk Management & Protection Ltd, we provide professional fire risk assessments, helping businesses and property owners identify hazards and understand the actions needed to keep people safe.
