A heads up for the incoming regulations regarding all scrap.
♻️ We get asked quite a lot why we dont pay cash.
So we thought we’d clear it up! ♻️
Orchard’s is a fully licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) and scrap metal dealer.
đź’· It is ILLEGAL for scrap metal dealers to pay cash for scrap metal.
This isn’t just our company policy.
It’s the law under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.
All payments for scrap are made securely by bank transfer, giving both you and us a clear record of the transaction.
đźš— Scrapping a vehicle?
End-of-life vehicles must be taken to an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) like ourselves, where they can be dealt with legally and correctly, including the DVLA paperwork and Certificate of Destruction where required.
