🔥⚠️ Fire Safety ⚠️🔥

Why are these images a severe fire hazard and dangerous?

Overloading an extension lead by daisy-chaining multiple plugs forces the adapter to draw more electrical current than its internal wiring can safely handle. This excessive current generates intense heat, degrading the plastic insulation and rapidly escalating into an electrical fire.
Be Safe, Don't do it!

The second picture - Compounding: This is dangerous because wrapping a blown fuse in aluminum foil, "a quick fix," creates a literal recipe for disaster! Fuses are designed to be the weakest link in a circuit, safely breaking the connection when a current becomes dangerous. Replacing that safety mechanism with foil allows unrestricted, excessive electricity to flow unchecked through already strained wires, bypassing all built-in protections and virtually guaranteeing a catastrophic, high-temperature fire.

Wow, what a busy couple of weeks! 😅 Not only have we had Christmas and New Year, but we have also been extremely busy PAT Testing in between with emergency call-outs, working at the Hydro Station in Blaenau Ffestiniog, and also with our wonderful holiday home owners. 🏡
