It was a privilege to support the NEL Training Hub Primary Care Nursing Conference 2026 at The Great Hall, Leyton 💙

From a 7am install to a full day of live sessions, discussions and celebrations, our team delivered the AV and technical production support behind the event - including projection, screens, PA, wireless microphones, presentation control and on-site technical crew throughout the day.

The conference created space for important conversations around women’s health, and celebrating the incredible work happening across primary care nursing in North East London

When he’s not juggling a packed schedule, you’ll find him powering through projects with a “let’s do this!” attitude - always on the go and getting things done.

Kid Andy dreamed of life on the farm. Adult Andy? A Senior Technical Project Manager. Not quite tractors and fields, but still running a pretty tight operation.

Funny, down-to-earth, with just the right amount of sarcasm (you’ve been warned 😏), he keeps things real and the team smiling.

From Cambridgeshire to Miami ✈️

We had the pleasure of supplying AV equipment and solutions for Consensus Miami - one of the world’s leading Web3, blockchain and digital asset conferences - hosted at the Miami Beach Convention Centre.

Covering 4,418 miles from AAVS HQ to MBCC, this was a serious production:

• 5 stages + 2 studios delivered
• 1st ever Battle Trading Studio at Consensus
• 200+ pieces of digital signage content deployed - including management of 2 double-sided, jumbotron-style LED walls
• 300+ pieces of ACS content powered through our proprietary content management system

A huge team effort both on the ground in Miami and back home at Absolute HQ. Another major international event delivered.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Ally! ✨

Say hello to Alistair "Ally" Siu, one of our fantastic Senior Project Managers, who's been part of the Absolute family for 2 years – bringing precision, energy, and great humour to every project he touches!

Quick Fire Round:

🎲 Outside of work: Ally is a passionate tabletop gamer – whether that's card games or manoeuvring little plastic Star Wars ships around a gaming mat. His words: "It's cooler than it sounds!" We believe him.

🍖 Favourite team event: The BBQ – and he's very clear on this one: everyone in the world needs to experience an Adam T catered BBQ. High praise indeed!

🥁 Fun fact: Ally learned to play drums and percussion at school and has performed at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. A true star in more ways than one!

🚀 Career journey & aspirations: Ally joined Absolute as a Senior Project Manager and hopes to one day step into a leadership role within the project management team. If that doesn't work out, he has two very solid backup plans – becoming a Lego designer (creating sets for others to enjoy) or a Chinese chef. His words: "That's a chef who cooks Chinese food – I'm already Chinese." 😄

Here's to Ally – keeping projects on track, rolling the dice, and bringing laughs to the team every single day!

🎶 What a day at the Cambridge Music Forum! ✨

We were proud sponsors of this incredible student-built conference, organised and run by the ARU Music Technology students. A full day of performances, presentations and panel discussions - all designed to bring rising talent and industry professionals together under one roof.

Cambridge Music Forum, developed in partnership with Cambridge City Council and Absolute AVS, is built on a simple purpose: to create a space where emerging talent can connect directly with industry professionals - encouraging collaboration, insight and opportunity across the music and live events world.

We supported the event, supplementing ARU's own kit with additional AV Equipment for the conference and hosting a booth at the employability fair, where we had some genuinely brilliant conversations with ARU students about careers in events 🎤 - from what the industry really looks like day-to-day, to how apprenticeships can open doors you didn’t even know existed.

Following on from the success of the 2025 event - where we recruited two new technicians - it was fantastic to once again meet so many passionate, driven students interested in opportunities in the industry.

The talent and energy in that room was electric ⚡ - these are the future faces of live events, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
