Meet Bill 👋

You’ll have seen Bill’s face plenty of times around our transfer station, and although he always seems calm, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.

Bill plays a big part in keeping the yard running smoothly and safely — from organising lorry movements and carrying out daily checks, to keeping an eye on incoming loads, supporting the weighbridge and maintaining good relationships with our trade customers.

A few facts about Bill:

* Huge Crystal Palace supporter — rarely misses a game
* Big family man
* Been with Sussex Waste for over 10 years
* Very partial to a good old fry-up

Had a key come in from the local giant today. Asked him what it was from — he said his front door.

I said, “Don’t you need it?”

He said, “Nah, I’m downsizing.” 😂

What a great evening at the Deacon Racing Sponsorship Day! 🏁

Sussex Waste Management had the pleasure of meeting up with Ronnie and the Deacon Racing team, alongside his other sponsors, to experience first-hand just how challenging the track really is.

Ronnie led the way, and it was unbelievable to see his ability up close. Once practice was over, he was completely in the zone — lapping everyone on track! There’s no doubt he was born to do this. 🏎️💨

We’re incredibly proud to play a part in Ronnie’s karting journey and excited to see where his talent takes him.

RESTOCK… What’s in? What’s new?

Our primary materials are still flowing out, but we now welcome a restock of road planings, with an estimated 300 tonnes coming into stock.

We’re also introducing a Recycled Type 1 product — great for use as a base and a lower-cost alternative.

And we’re really happy to announce our new stock of Recycled Sand. This is ideal for larger-scale projects and a great way of keeping material costs down. We’ve had a lot of enquiries for this product, which has pushed us to stock it in large volumes.

Please bear with us while the new stock is coming in — it’s going rapidly!
