I’m delighted to announce that I am setting up a women’s only walking group to meet Wednesday afternoons.

I’ll plan local walks of approximately 90 mins (sometimes longer)

🌳 Nature Walk Recommendation 🌳

Did you know bees 🐝 have five eyes and smelly feet? 👣 Neither did I until I went on a nature walk with Kay Fassnidge yesterday afternoon!

A few months ago, I posted in this group looking for a local nature guide to take me, my partner, and our dog Wellington 🐶 on a nature walk. I’ve never been particularly good at identifying trees, plants, or wildlife, and I wanted to learn more.

Honestly, this turned out to be one of the loveliest experiences I’ve had in a long time. At just £20 each, it was worth every penny. Kay showed us a brilliant bird app that helps identify birdsong, taught us about the plants and trees we were seeing, shared so many fascinating facts, and explained the landscape in such an engaging way.

It was fun, interesting, and even a little emotional at times (there’s something really special about slowing down and looking closely at nature).

The walk was just over an hour and a half. We met at Kemsing Rec and did a circular route, which was perfect.

I genuinely can’t recommend this enough. We’ll definitely be booking again in late summer, autumn, and winter to experience the landscape through the seasons. Such a lovely afternoon out.

WHAT WILL WE DO IN A SESSION?
Here are some of the things we get up to: get creative using natural materials, use tools, make and swing on a rope swing, play games, create a feast in the mud kitchen, make friends, learn about fire safety, toast marshmallows, look for minibeasts and have fun!
