As early as possible.

🎉 Celebrating One Year of BEW Eastleigh 🎉

A year ago, we opened the doors to BEW Eastleigh, and what a fantastic first year it has been! 🥳

A huge thank you to our customers for their continued support and to our fantastic team for helping make the branch such a success. 👏

💬 Andrew Gunner, Branch Manager:
“Starting this new venture with BEW has been really enjoyable. It’s amazing to see how far we have come in such a short space of time.
From an empty building in August 2025 to opening the doors in November, we have grown sales and profit, and are now up to seven staff and there is plenty more we’re looking to achieve."

From an empty building to a thriving branch with a growing team, we're proud of everything achieved so far and excited for what lies ahead.

Here's to many more successful years at BEW Eastleigh! 🎉🥂

🔙 From the Archives

Our journey through the archives takes us from our very first BEW branch in Balham to our first Ilford home on Ley Street, where we opened our doors back in August 1993.

The original branch manager was BEW legend Micky Jackson, and there are plenty of memories from a great team and a busy trade counter. While our move to Hainault in 2014 gave us the space and facilities to grow, the heart and soul of the Ilford branch began on Ley Street.

Were you part of the Ley Street days? We'd love to hear your memories, stories, and the familiar faces you remember in the comments below. 👇

💙 Help Raise Funds for Leo 💙

Leo is a friend of one of our BEW team members and, after three years of treatment for leukaemia, currently has no further treatment options available.

In an inspiring show of support, Leo's friends will be walking 300 miles from Land's End to Crawley this November to raise funds that could help explore every possible avenue for further treatment, while also raising awareness of his story.

Eaton & BEW Contractor Event

Last week, our BEW team joined contractors and the Eaton team for an insightful presentation covering Eaton's latest solutions in power distribution, power protection, and life safety.

The session explored key design and product selection considerations for safer power distribution and protection systems, while also highlighting Eaton's life safety portfolio, including its new wireless monitoring system.

Following the session, we headed to Flight Club in Bloomsbury for some friendly competition and a chance to continue the conversations in a more relaxed setting. 🎯

A big thank you to Eaton for an informative and enjoyable event.

⚽️ Billericay Town Sponsorship

We’re proud to once again sponsor one of our local teams,Billericay Town FC.

After securing promotion last season, The Blues continue to show they are a force to be reckoned with in the National League South, currently sitting 3rd in the table.

Congratulations also to Manager Danny Scopes, who was named Manager of the Month for September after guiding the team through an unbeaten month.

We wish Danny, the players, and everyone at the club continued success for the rest of the season and look forward to supporting them on their journey.

💡Project Spotlight | ARU Writtle

Our BEW Colchester branch was proud to partner with Houghton & Son, alongside Ryan Scott from KSR Lighting, to deliver a lighting and small power project at ARU Writtle, completed during the summer.

The project included an LED lighting upgrade, featuring RGBW LED strip lighting and decorative suspended luminaires in communal areas.

We're delighted to have contributed to a project that has enhanced these spaces and delivered an excellent finish for staff and students to enjoy.
