Faith & Fame: A Personal George Michael Collection

An extraordinary archive of George Michael memorabilia, led by the iconic Gretsch guitar used in the Faith music video, will be offered at Sworders on Thursday 29 October 2026.

Gifted by George Michael to his long-time personal assistant, Siobhan Bailey, the guitar sits at the heart of a collection that includes photographs, tour itineraries, gold and platinum discs and archive material from across his remarkable career.

🖼️The sale includes a large selection of modern and contemporary art works, including oil and acrylic paintings, collages, watercolour pieces and prints; with something to suit all tastes and budgets.

🛋️Also offered are both antique and modern furniture items, ranging from an early 19th century George III oak multi drawer chest (£300-500) to a pair of Brunner Hoc Poseur bench tables, together with twelve Brunner Fina high stools (£800-1,200).

⌚️We are proud to lead this sale with 'The John Mitchell Collection of Military Horology'; a remarkable collection of military wristwatches.

⏱️Some of the most popular wristwatches include a Royal Navy issue single button chronograph, and mechanical pieces such as a Longines British military-issued ‘Dirty Dozen’ example and a Lemania monopusher chronograph.
