We’d like to say a big thank you to Dereece and his fantastic team at Desire Cocktail Bar for inviting us along to the inaugural .

In addition to learning all about the mixology behind some of the bar’s signature cocktails, we were treated to some incredible whiskies from Japan, Ireland and India, courtesy of Mangrove.

Essential Ice Ltd capped things off by outlining some of the intricacies involved in the production and distribution of block, cubed and crushed ice.

From a marcomms perspective, it was a masterclass in effective communication – taking the complex and often painstaking processes involved in the creation of premium ingredients, and presenting them in a way that was both interesting and understandable to non-experts.

A fascinating afternoon all round! 🍹 🍸 🥃 🧊

And yes, we admit that sampling so many delicious drinks* on an overcast workday afternoon was somewhat enjoyable, but that definitely wasn’t our primary motivation for attending.

For , it’s all about the learning. 🤓

If your job involves strategy, the chances are you have to ask (and attempt to answer) a lot of questions.

We certainly do…

“Who is our client’s ideal customer?”

“What are this person’s goals?”

“What are their pain points?”

“How does our client’s offering help?”

“What’s the best way to reflect this in the messaging?”

As a strategy-first marcomms agency, we spend an inordinate amount of time figuring out what makes other people tick, but it’s not often we have an opportunity to consider what makes *us* tick.

It’s hardly surprising, therefore, that spending a day out of the office reflecting on our own personalities proved so refreshing. A big thank you to Firgun's Danny Wareham for analysing our respective idiosyncrasies and delivering such a thought-provoking workshop.

We’ve always done our best to remain as hierarchically ‘flat’ as possible, which isn’t especially taxing when you’re running a small business. But it feels like these insights may well be the key to letting our organisational culture drive progress, rather than an individual.

has joined forces with Launch It Trust, a group of youth enterprise charities dedicated to supporting young entrepreneurs across the UK.

Launch It Labs Stoke-on-Trent is a fantastic opportunity for anyone aged 18-30 who’s interested in getting a business idea off the ground.

Taking place in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, from 23-24 April 2026, this two-day bootcamp will enable participants to define their value proposition and target audience, master the fundamentals of bookkeeping, and fine-tune their sales approach.

We'll be delivering one of three workshops alongside Drive Ahead Bookkeeping and Sales Geek. At the end of the second day, attendees will have a chance to put everything they’ve learned into action by pitching for up to £1,000 of funding – money that could help bring their venture to life.
