Client: Private Residence of Lord Ashley and Lady Natalie
Contractor: Virtue (Staffs) Ltd
Location: Staffordshire

Project Overview
The objective was to take a standard lounge and elevate it into a sophisticated, timeless living space. The client sought a "complete transformation" that balanced traditional architectural details with a modern, clean aesthetic.

Design & Ex*****on
The renovation focused on high-quality carpentry and a monochromatic colour palette to create depth and texture. Key features included:
* Bespoke Wall Panelling: We installed classic large-frame wall moulding across all primary walls, including the bay window recesses. This added architectural character and a sense of luxury to the room's proportions.
* Contrast Installations: To break the neutral tones of the walls, a high-output, black traditional column radiator was installed by the owner, serving as both a functional heating element and a bold piece of industrial-style decor.
* Finishing Touches: All woodwork, including the ornate coving and deep skirting boards, was finished in a crisp white to contrast against the soft taupe paint.

The Result
The finished lounge represents the core values of Virtue (Staffs) Ltd: precision, quality, and a commitment to transforming everyday spaces into extraordinary ones. The room now feels significantly more expansive, structured, and premium. ✌🏻

Project: Matalan, Trowbridge
We are pleased to showcase our recent external transformation at the Matalan store in Trowbridge. Acting on behalf of our client, Armstrong, the Virtue team was tasked with revitalising the store’s prominent red facade to ensure it remains a standout landmark for local shoppers.

The Process
A high-quality finish is only as good as the groundwork beneath it. Our team followed a rigorous multi-stage process:
* Detailed Preparation: Thorough cleaning and surface sanding were conducted to remove weathering and ensure maximum adhesion.
* Precision Coating: We applied a high-performance Weathershield finish. This specific system was chosen for its exceptional durability and its ability to maintain the high-gloss "Matalan Red" despite exposure to the elements.

Why the Facade Matters
A clean, neat front facade is more than just "curb appeal"—it is a critical business asset:
* Brand Integrity: The storefront is the first physical interaction a customer has with a brand. A crisp, vibrant exterior reflects professionalism and care.
* Asset Protection: Professional coatings like Weathershield act as a protective barrier against moisture and UV damage, preventing long-term structural decay.
* Customer Experience: A bright and well-maintained entrance creates an inviting atmosphere that encourages footfall and enhances the local shopping environment.

Another successful delivery by the Virtue (Staffs) Ltd team, ensuring our clients’ assets look their best for years to come.

Case Study: External Cladding Refurbishment – Bilston
Client: Accolade
Project Phase: Phase 1 – Surface Preparation & Deep Cleaning
Location: Bilston

Project Overview
The objective of this project is to revitalise and protect the external metal cladding of a large-scale warehouse facility. To ensure a professional-grade finish that withstands the elements, the project has been divided into strategic phases, focusing heavily on substrate integrity.

Phase 1: The Foundation of Quality
This week, the team initiated the critical preparation stage. As the saying goes, a coating is only as good as the surface beneath it. To guarantee the adhesion and longevity of the subsequent protective layers, we are performing a comprehensive sugar soaping and high-pressure cleaning of all cladding surfaces.
Key activities include:

Contaminant Removal: Stripping away industrial pollutants, grease, and organic growth using professional-grade sugar soap solutions.

Pressure Washing: Utilising high-pressure water systems to neutralise the surface and ensure no residue remains.

Detail Inspection: Identifying any areas of damaged cladding or oxidation that require specific attention before the coating application.

Looking Ahead: Noxyde Application
Once the surfaces are fully decontaminated and dried, we will transition to the application of RD-Noxyde via airless spray. This heavy-duty, elastomeric coating was selected for its exceptional anti-corrosion properties and flexibility.

Expert Note: Preparation is absolute key. By investing time in rigorous cleaning now, we eliminate the risk of coating failure and ensure the client receives a quality, long-lasting finish that protects their asset for years to come.

This milestone marks the conclusion of the initial stages of a large-scale refurbishment project for our client, Holland and Porter.

Decoration Scope & Ex*****on:
Our team focused on delivering a crisp, modern aesthetic across diverse surfaces, ensuring a consistent high-standard finish that revitalises the complex.

Internal Finishing:
* Precision Archwork: A key feature of this project involved the meticulous painting of multiple structural arches, requiring sharp lines to define the transition between communal zones and residential corridors.
* Durable Coatings: We utilised high-specification, scrubbable emulsions in the modernised kitchen and dining areas—surfaces designed to maintain their finish in high-traffic environments.
* Neutral Palette: A sophisticated "Greige" and off-white colour scheme was applied throughout the bedrooms and hallways to enhance natural light and provide a calm, contemporary feel.

Project Spotlight: Jöro Restaurant, Sheffield

The Brief
Virtue Ltd was commissioned by Holland and Porter to provide a high-specification protective coating for the extensive external ducting at the award-winning Jöro Restaurant in Sheffield. The aim was to transform the industrial ventilation system into a sleek, uniform feature that complements the building's historic stone masonry.

* Superior Adhesion: Direct application to various metal substrates without the need for multiple primers.
* Weather Resistance: A microporous, UV-resistant film that protects against the elements and prevents peeling.
* Efficient Turnaround: Its quick-drying properties allowed us to complete the refurbishment with minimal disruption to the restaurant's operations.

Client: Americold

Location: Whitchurch

Requirement: Creation of a private office within an active open-plan environment.

The Challenge:
The client required a high-quality office partition to be installed within their primary open-plan area. Due to the high volume of daily activity, the project necessitated a solution that ensured zero downtime for staff and maintained a clean, professional environment throughout the transition.

* Partitioning: Supply and installation of a robust metal stud partition wall system.
* Joinery: Integration of a professional door set and installation of vision panel for natural light and site safety.
* Finishing: Full tape and jointing followed by professional decoration to match the existing aesthetics.
* Cleanliness: Strategic use of dust suppression and thorough site clearance each morning to ensure the office remained "business as usual."

The Result:
The project was completed on schedule with minimum disruption. Americold now benefits from a functional, private office space that blends seamlessly into their original floor plan without the company having suffered a single hour of operational interference.

Project Spotlight: Preserving a Manchester Icon 🏛️🚂

Virtue (Staffs) Ltd is proud to announce the successful completion of a specialist restoration project at the historic Manchester Victoria Train Station. Working on behalf of our valued client, Armstrong Building and Maintenance Ltd, our teams delivered high-specification painting and protective coating works across this Grade II listed landmark.

The Challenge: Heritage meets High-Traffic
Restoring a live, 24/7 transport hub requires more than just technical skill—it requires meticulous logistical planning.

Safety First: We implemented strict segregation on Platform 3, ensuring all railings and stanchions were treated while keeping the public completely shielded from the work zone.

Precision at Height: To restore the iconic Victorian wrought iron canopy, our team utilised phased mobile tower scaffolds. This allowed us to work around the station's architecture without disrupting the thousands of commuters passing through daily.

A Legacy of Trust: The external wrought ironwork at Manchester Victoria is a masterclass in 19th-century engineering. Being trusted to protect such a vital piece of North West heritage is a responsibility we don't take lightly.

Historical Context: The external wrought iron canopy at Manchester Victoria is Grade II listed example of Victorian engineering. Originally constructed during the station's expansion in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the intricate ironwork serves as a reminder of the station's heritage as a gateway to the industrial heart of England. Preserving these elements required not only a high-standard finish but an understanding of the materials used to ensure the longevity of the structure against the elements.

We are thrilled to report that all works were completed bang on schedule, maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence in the industrial coating sector.
