The funeral industry due to recent events has come under public scrutiny, and our thought are with the bereaved families that have had to hear and deal with such devastating news.
As a member of the NAFD we have always followed their code of practice and welcomed their inspections over the last 16 years since I became owner of the funeral home.
Over the years, We have opened our funeral home to groups of staff from local care homes, we have had members of bereaved families who have requested to look after their loved one personally, working with our staff in our preparation room. We have brought in local hairdressers to do our deceased's hair. We are part of a community and our priority has always been to support our families and give their loved one the best care we can.
It can be quite daunting to scroll through all the websites of funeral directors, contact your chosen ones, speak to them on the phone, not just to confirm prices but to see how comfortable you feel speaking to them. Make an appointment to visit them. None of this commits you to using their services.
