We're delighted to deliver the third bank in our partnership with Sunderland Experience and Foundation of Light

The clothes bank is located behind the toilet blocks and in the car park of the Marina.

Every kg of clothing recycled raises funds for the excellent work that the Foundation of Light continues to deliver across the city.

Be sure to take a bag along on your next trip to the seafront! 😁

Austhorpe Primary PTA is smashing it! 🥹

With over £1700 fundraised so far from 1 clothes bank, they're a great example of what clothes recycling can do for your fundraising pot.

That's an extra £1700 for trips, resources, or experiences!

What would your school do with the extra cash?

We are absolutely delighted to announce Cornerstone Supported Housing and Counselling has joined us as a new charity partner 🙌

Cornerstone has committed to 11 bespoke and interactive clothes banks across the North East region.

It's our hope that their recycling efforts can go a long way to support the amazing work they do tackling homelessness.

Their clothes banks are being placed as we speak.

If you come across them, please feel free to scan the QR codes and see exactly how much money that bank has raised and how many clothes have been kept away from landfills.

Here's to a long and prosperous partnership 🤝

That's nearly 12,000kg of clothes kept away from landfills too!

All of this impact with just 1 clothes bank on site, raising vital cash.

What would your community centre do with over £2000 extra in your bank account? 👀

Over £3900...

That's exactly how much Seaham Youth & Community Centre has raised in its partnership with us.

🔥Their clothes bank is highly visible
🔥They consistently promote it on social media
🔥They requested a second bank

Now they've raised nearly £4k in VITAL funds for their amazing community initiatives.

A huge well done as they show the whole of Community Connect what is possible 👏

What could happen if 100 families cleared out their wardrobes?

Just look at what some of our partners have achieved.

West View Primary School has raised £5,500 towards refurbishing their playground.

Ribbon Academy has raised £6,700 towards its enrichment programme.

And The Box Youth & Community Project has raised £2,000 towards community activities.

All from recycling unwanted clothes.

One wardrobe might not feel significant.

But when an entire community gets involved, those clothes can help fund something that genuinely matters.

Fundraising does NOT mean asking for money 👀

Sounds strange, right?

But think about how often parents, supporters and local communities are asked to donate.

£5 here. A sponsored event there. Another raffle next month.

Instead, ask them for something they don’t want anymore.

A bag of old clothes costs them nothing, clears space in their home and can generate funds for your organisation.

It's fundraising without another financial ask.

Because sometimes the easiest way to raise more money… is to stop asking people for it.

Would your school want to fundraise over £6700? 👀

That's exactly what Ribbon Academy has done...

They have stuck to some core principles since partnering with us.

👉 Placed their clothes bank right at their front entrance so it's highly visible.

👉 They actively promote the bank to their parents/students.

👉 Once they noticed 1 bank worked, they secured multiple clothes banks at different locations.

And that £6700?

It was raised on autopilot for their student enrichment programmes.

Could your school be next? You can request a completely FREE clothes bank through the link in our comments.
