We have some sad news I am afraid. FabLab Sunderland will be closing at the end of July 2024. It has been a rewarding journey and we hope we made a positive difference in the world. Thank you to everyone for being amazing.

In response to today's announcement by the Prime Minister, all face-to-face classroom teaching and assessment across our three UK campuses is now suspended. Our libraries and other main facilities will remain open. Building on existing practice, we will move to being online only for teaching and assessment by Monday 23 March.

We remain committed to supporting all of our students and staff during these difficult times.

From today you can see the amazing work created in FabLab by Sunderland's amazing students in the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens . They were given the task of creating something Leonardo da Vinci would have done if he had access to the FabLab. Their work is being exhibited along side drawings by Leonardo da Vinci himself. https://sunderlandculture.org.uk/events/leonardo-da-vinci/
