❄️ The heavy thud of coal sacks in the back yard on a freezing winter morning... 🇬🇧
Waiting for the coalman to arrive with his heavy burlap sacks, filling up the coal bunker or tipping a fresh load straight into the metal bucket. The fireplace was the heart of every home, keeping the coal fire roaring to warm up the living room while frost covered the windows.
Hard work, bitter cold mornings, but a house full of warmth, family, and simple comforts.
THIS IS THE BRITAIN WE GREW UP IN 🇬🇧
Do you remember hearing the coalman coming down the back alley? Who used to be in charge of bringing in the coal bucket and stoking the fire in your house? 👇
