I To all my customers and who ever else who may read this,
After being asked numerous times “what is the difference between a hedge trim and a hedge reduction?”I thought I would do a post to explain.

A HEDGE TRIM is a lighter, more regular maintenance task. This involves cutting back the new growth to maintain shape, size and density of the hedge. A trim is generally done to keep the hedge looking neat and tidy, and it typically involves minimal cutting of the overall structure.

A HEDGE REDUCTION is a significant and aggressive pruning task. Reduction is meant to decrease the size or volume of a hedge, often by cutting back the hedge a few feet of more. Reduction may be necessary if the hedge has grown too large, out of control, or it is blocking light or views.
*There is a significant price difference between these 2 pruning techniques* as the work involved varies greatly. I.e manpower “one or more persons needed to do the job” tools, time and volume of waste.
