A day of football, fundraising and a little bit of healthy competition ⚽

We recently brought colleagues and teams together for the Lyreco Charity Football Tournament, with plenty of goals, big saves and competitive moments along the way. 🏆

More importantly, it was a fantastic opportunity to come together, have some fun and support a great cause within Parkinson's UK and Lyreco for Education.

Supporting an incredible cause! 🪂💙

On Saturday, Lyreco colleagues Jason and Lorna took to the skies at Tilstock Skydiving, completing a skydive in support of Parkinson's UK

For Jason, this is a cause that’s especially close to home. Having lived with Parkinson’s for many years, he knows first-hand just how important the support, specialist nurses and ongoing research funded by Parkinson’s UK can be.

And the support has been incredible. Together, Jason and Lorna have raised over £2,000 so far.

Taking on a skydive is no small challenge, but Jason and Lorna did exactly that to help raise vital funds and awareness for a charity making a real difference to people living with Parkinson’s.

What does work experience look like through the eyes of a student? 👀

As part of our Work Experience programme, James had the chance to step beyond the classroom and see first-hand how the skills he’s developed at school can translate into a real working environment.

In his video, James reflects on how the experience opened his eyes to the scale and pace of working life at Lyreco, as well as the different processes that keep our teams moving every day.

A particular highlight was spending time with our Customer Care team, where he learned more about how orders are managed and the work that goes on behind the scenes to support our customers.

Giving young people the opportunity to experience the workplace first-hand can help turn classroom learning into something tangible, while building confidence and providing a valuable insight into the world of work.

A big thank you to James for sharing his experience, and to all our colleagues who helped make his time at Lyreco such a positive one. 😊

Leading with authority without shrinking yourself 🌟​

Last week marked the third WISE Women session for this year.

The powerful session was thought provoking and engaging, encouraging the women to reflect on real-life situations.

Guest speaker, Lisa Collins delivered the session virtually, sharing her own experiences and encouraged meaningful discussions throughout the session.
The session focused on:

The Shrink Map: Identifying shrinking language such as “sorry” and “just”, what causes us to shrink and how it can affect our confidence, growth and success.

Rewriting: Reflecting on previous emails that we have sent, we rewrote them removing the shrinking language and reflected on the impact this had.

The Warm No: We discussed the power of a respectful “no”, honouring relationships while offering practical alternatives where possible.

It was an inspiring session leaving the women feeling empowered.

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes to keep Lyreco moving? 👀📦

Welcome to our National Distribution Centre in Telford - the beating heart of our UK distribution network.

Covering 50,000m², our NDC can store around 30,000 pallets, process approximately 50,000 parcels every day, and distribute 1,000 pallets daily across our 25 Regional Distribution Centres.

From goods arriving on site to orders making their way out across the country, it’s a huge operation powered by our people, technology and logistics working together every day.

A cup of coffee can go further than you might think. ☕

We recently joined our Supplier Support Programme partner, Jamila’s Coffee, for a special visit to Autumn House Care Home to see first-hand the difference that everyday purchasing decisions can make.

Through customers choosing Jamila’s Coffee, meaningful donations have been made to support residents at Autumn House, including dementia dolls, therapy pets, weighted blankets and other wellbeing items. 💚

Seeing residents interact with these items and the comfort, companionship and happiness they can bring was a powerful reminder that procurement can be about so much more than simply purchasing a product.
When businesses choose to buy with purpose, those everyday decisions can help create a genuine impact in our communities.
