It was great to attend the Wealden Business Expo last Thursday and chat to both familiar faces and new contacts. We have added two new members to the Chamber as a direct result of the event and others were also keen to find out about Chamber membership. Our Chamber Director, Ian Noble, was pleased to attend the formal opening of Uckfield’s new Banking Hub.

The honour to open the facility fell to Deputy Mayor Spike Mayhew, Uckfield Town Council, and Mims Davies MP was also present. Both spoke about the importance of the Banking Hub facility to our community, a view we very much support ensuring that local businesses continue to have a banking counter service here in Uckfield.

The big five banks are represented on set calendar days in the week for customers to speak with a community banker, with the Hub open Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.

🗺️ The Hub is located at:

🏦 The provides a range of banking services, ensuring continued access to cash and face-to-face banking within the which I know is really important for our more vulnerable and elderly residents, as well as charities, businesses, and community organisations.

⏰ Opening Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm

Customers can access the following services:

👉 withdrawals and cash deposits.
👉 Personal & Business Banking.
👉 Balance enquiries.
👉 Bill payments.
👉 deposits.
👉 Change giving service for small businesses

In addition, Community Bankers from participating banks will be available on dedicated days throughout the week to provide customers with more specialist banking support.

Community Banker Schedule:

Monday: Santander
Tuesday: Barclays
Wednesday: HSBC
Thursday: NatWest (9am - 4pm)
Friday: Lloyds Banking Group
