A huge thank you to the Wellington Weekly News for giving Reminiscence Learning such wonderful coverage and helping us raise awareness of the support available locally. 💜🦋
The feature highlights several important areas of our work:
🌿 Our Memorable Adventures Project, offering outdoor respite sessions for people living with early-stage memory impairment.Starts next week and will be each Thursday - contact us for more information.
🧠 The importance of seeking an early dementia diagnosis, enabling timely support and helping to rule out other treatable conditions that can cause similar symptoms.
📚 Our Dementia: The Facts training, helping carers, volunteers, healthcare professionals, businesses and the wider community better understand dementia and how it affects people’s everyday lives.
As we approach World Alzheimer’s Day on 21 September, this coverage helps us spread a vital message: nobody should have to face their dementia journey alone.
Thank you also to Carly Press for supporting this feature which helps us reach more families and build a better-informed, more dementia-inclusive community.
