Hello folks. Two things…

1) Tonight is C***r Club at the vineyard (Friday 30th). The theme is Derbyshire C***r. Come along if you want to enjoy c***rs in the pavilion and orchard. We’ll get the fire pit going and it’s a relatively mild night apparently.

Just come along, but let me know if you are so I have a rough idea of numbers. If you want pork pie with your c***r then book online in first comment…

2) We’re pressing and harvesting apples tomorrow (Saturday). If you can spare an hour or two to come and help let me know. It’s great fun. Wear your scruffs though!

And if you’ve got a glut windfall apples please do bring them along and transform them into Amber Nectar!

You don’t have to travel far to enjoy lovely local w**es and c***rs. Here at Amber Valley Vineyards we’re offering free local delivery on orders over £60 within 10 miles of the vineyard in the DE55 area.

Whether you’re stocking up for autumn (Halloween?) evenings, planning a gathering with friends or just fancy something a bit different, we’ll bring a taste of the Amber Valley straight to your door. Grown locally, made with care, delivered locally.

Our autumn recommendation is our award winning and trophy winning Amara Pinot Noir, an easy drinker, supple and gently spicy and warming, whilst being slightly silky and full of red berry and cherry flavours. It’s the perfect w**e for those cooler nights by the fire.

What a crazy, busy, beautiful week! 🍎🍇🍷

Exhausting? Absolutely. But immensely satisfying too.

It’s been a whirlwind of harvesting, pressing and tending to our fermenting w**es and c***rs with loving care. Wednesday saw us pressing a mountain of apples, followed by two wonderful days of grape harvesting and pressing on Thursday and Friday. And the weather even played ball! Mostly sunny skies, some welcome autumn warmth and plenty of good company.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers – the Harrisons, India, Martin, Rita and the amazing Josie, who has joined us for every harvest for the past five years. Such a wonderful character and a real part of the Amber Valley Vineyards family. ❤️

There’s something rather special about harvest time. Hard graft, sticky hands, aching backs, laughter, shared lunches and the satisfaction of seeing another year’s fruit safely gathered in. And, of course, the promise of some rather lovely w**es and c***rs to come.

We’re not quite finished yet! One final grape pick remains, which we’re planning for Saturday 31st October. Then we can finally draw a line under harvest 2026 and let the magic of fermentation do its work.

🍎 APPLE DAY IN THE ORCHARD 🍏

Join us tomorrow, Saturday 17th October, from 1–4pm at Amber Valley Vineyards for free c***r tastings in our peaceful orchard.

With harvest in full swing, it’s a lovely time to enjoy a taste of what our apples become. Barry will be on hand to chat about the orchard, our agroforestry projects and how we work with nature — and perhaps take you on a quick tour of the w**ery and c***ry, time permitting!

Come for a taste and stay for a glass. There’ll be c***r, w**e and ale to enjoy among the apple trees. A gentle, informal Saturday afternoon, with good drinks and, hopefully, your good company. 🍎🍷

Racking day for our Amber W**e (Orange w**e), it’s delicious, it’s layered and it’s showing amazing promise and complexity. A natural w**e, it hasn’t seen any sulphites or added yeasts. It has naturally fermented on the yeast from the skins or locality, and it’s made from estate-grown grapes that are regeneratively grown without any pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. Whilst only a small quantity, it’s showing fantastic promise and we can’t wait to share it. Take a look back at previous reels that have followed this w**e’s evolution.

We’ll bottle it in February and give it some time in the bottle before release.
