🛑 Please Look Out for Elderly & Vulnerable People During Black Friday & Christmas Sales 🛑

Online scams are skyrocketing during the festive shopping rush — and fraudsters are deliberately targeting elderly and vulnerable people with fake discounts, delivery alerts, and messages that create pressure to buy quickly.

Even confident online shoppers are being caught out, so those less familiar with technology are especially at risk.

👵👴 If you have elderly family, friends, or neighbours, please take a moment to check in with them. A quick chat could prevent heartbreak and financial loss.

👉 Remind them to:
✔ Only shop on trusted websites
✔ Avoid clicking links in unexpected emails/texts
✔ Never share bank details, passwords, or verification codes
✔ Ask for help if something feels “off” or rushed

If you’re supporting someone online, be patient and understanding — many victims of fraud feel embarrassed and stay silent.

🎄 Let’s make this Christmas safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Please share this post to help spread awareness.

🏠💖 When Siblings Disagree About Care for Ageing Parents 💖🏠

Caring for Mom or Dad can be tough, especially when siblings disagree. Here’s how to find common ground:

1️⃣ Spend Time Together: If you're not the primary caregiver, spend time with your parents to understand their needs better and give the primary caregiver a break.

2️⃣ Talk Openly: Have a family meeting to discuss care needs. Sharing the daily caregiving realities can help everyone understand and plan better.

3️⃣ Get Help: Don’t hesitate to seek professional advice. Care managers and mediators can offer neutral guidance and help resolve conflicts.

4️⃣ Consider Outside Care: Golden Home Care provides in-home assistance from housekeeping to specialised medical care, making it easier on everyone.
