Job Description — Events Team Member

Role Overview:
As a member of the Hella Events Team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, professional, and positive experiences across a wide range of events and venues. You will represent Hella’s values of professionalism, respect, accountability, and care, ensuring every customer, client, and colleague feels supported and safe.

This role is ideal for individuals who are confident, reliable, people‑focused, and able to adapt to different environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a visible, approachable, and professional security presence
- Monitor crowds, identify risks, and respond calmly to incidents
- Support emergency procedures and follow supervisor instructions
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive atmosphere
- Complete incident reports and handovers when required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and venue staff
- Uphold Hella’s standards of conduct, welfare, and professionalism at all times

Where You May Work:
You will be deployed across a variety of environments, including
- Festivals, concerts, and outdoor events
- Stadiums, arenas, and sports grounds
- Corporate events, conferences, and hospitality settings
- Specialist or high‑profile assignments (experience‑dependent)

Each shift offers different challenges and opportunities to build your skills and confidence.

Preferred:
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence (for DS roles)
- Experience in security, events, customer service, or hospitality
- Ability to travel for multi‑day events (transport provided with small staff contribution)

Door Supervisor – Manchester City Centre

Location: Manchester City Centre
Job Type: Part‑time / Full‑time / Casual
Salary: Competitive rates, paid monthly
License Required: Valid SIA Door Supervisor License

About the Role:
We are recruiting professional, confident, and customer‑focused Door Supervisors to join our team working across a range of Manchester City Centre venues. From busy bars and late‑night venues to corporate events and city festivals, you’ll be part of a team responsible for keeping people safe, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and representing the venue with professionalism.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, can stay calm under pressure, and takes pride in delivering high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide a welcoming, professional first impression for customers entering the venue.
Manage entry and exit points, including ID checks, searches, and queue control.
Monitor customer behaviour and identify potential risks early.
De‑escalate conflict using communication and non‑physical intervention techniques.
Support venue staff, emergency services, and colleagues during incidents.
Maintain accurate incident reports, refusal logs, and any required documentation.
Uphold licensing objectives and ensure compliance with venue policies and SIA standards.
Conduct regular patrols and maintain strong situational awareness throughout the shift.

What We’re Looking For:
Valid SIA Door Supervisor License (essential).
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
Ability to remain calm, confident, and professional in challenging situations.
Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of conduct and appearance.
Experience in nightlife, events, or hospitality security is desirable but not essential.
