Has facebook been good for my business?

Absolutely. 100%.

About 12 months ago, I decided to stop overthinking what I posted and just be myself ...true Wigan talk and all.

People buy from people, and I hope I come across as genuine, honest and hardworking, because that’s exactly who I am.

It’s impossible to please everyone. Some people like Pepsi, and some people like Coke!

Have I gained clients through facebook ?

Absolutely!

We’ve never been busier at Married to the Mop. We’re booked solid with our regular clients, and our specialist cleanin' work is fully booked until the end of November

So, has facebook worked for me?

100% it has.

My advice is simple:

Don’t be boring.

Be yourself.

Dont try and be somethin' or someone your not !

Do a brilliant job.

And people will buy the Pepsi and a pie! 😂

Yesterday I had to wear some very specific PPE just to gain access to a site survey. 🙄

So obviously, I had to go and BUY the stuff specially. 😂

Now, I’m not bothered whether I win the contract or not… because at least I’ve got myself a belting outfit for me girly holiday fancy dress. 🤣

All I need now is a pair of roller skates and I’ll be ready for YMCA! 🕺😂

You’ve got to look on the bright side, haven’t you? 😜

Business lesson of the day: always see the positive in every situation… and apparently, PPE has multiple uses! 😂

This time last year, I said to myself, “I don’t want any more staff, and I definitely don’t want any more vehicles.” 😂

Well… how things change!

The last 8 weeks have really put a strain on the team, Andy and me. We’re absolutely made up with the work coming through the door, but it’s also made us realise we’ve got to start planning ahead again.

We need to build the team back up, look at more vehicles and make sure we can keep the quality where it needs to be, while still growing the business the right way.

There’s some big decisions coming up, and to be honest, it’s going to be a busy few months.

Funny how 12 months can change your plans, eh? 😂

We’ll keep cracking on, keep doing things right and see where it takes us.

Big things ahead. 💪

🚨 Here’s something I don’t think enough cleaning business mentors talk about…

Everyone wants to teach you how to get more customers, put your prices up and scale your cleaning business.

And yes ..that stuff matters.

But what about actually understanding WHAT YOU ARE USING TO CLEAN?

I’m genuinely shocked at how many cleaners buy products because:

❌ “Someone on Facebook recommended it."

❌ “It smells amazing.”

❌ “It’s really strong.”

❌ “It gets everything off.”

❌ “It’s what I’ve always used.”

But do you know the pH of the product?

Do you know whether it’s acidic, neutral or alkaline?

Do you understand what that actually means?

Do you know which surfaces it’s safe to use on ...and which surfaces it could potentially damage?

Because here’s the thing…

A cleaner isn’t just someone who knows how to wipe, spray and scrub.

A professional cleaner should understand the chemistry behind the clean.

An acidic cleaner behaves differently from an alkaline cleaner.

Different soils require different chemistry.

Different surfaces require different products.

And using the wrong chemical on the wrong surface can cost you far more than the bottle of product ever did.
