A report by Remitly Business has revealed that 69% of employees dream of being self-employed. The main reasons given for wanting to become self-employed were greater flexibility over when and where they work, more independence and a better work-life balance. However, 80% agreed that social media makes self-employment look far more appealing than it actually is and 77% believed that modern "hustle culture" places too much pressure on solo professionals.
