🌱 Grass Stains / Pen Marks / Mud vs. School Uniforms: The Never-Ending Battle! 👕

If your child’s white PE T-shirt comes home looking more green than white, you’re definitely not alone! Before you give up and buy a new one, try these simple stain-busting tips:

✅ Act fast – Fresh grass stains are much easier to remove than ones left until the weekend.

✅ Pre-treat the stain – Rub a little liquid laundry detergent directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10–15 minutes.

✅ Gently work it in – Use your fingers or a soft toothbrush to help lift the stain (no need to scrub like you’re cleaning the patio!).

✅ Wash as normal – Use the warmest temperature recommended on the care label.

🚫 Don’t tumble dry until you’re sure the stain has gone—heat can set it permanently.

💡 Top tip: For stubborn stains, repeat the treatment before washing again. Patience beats panic every time!

Because kids are meant to slide, tackle, and roll around on the grass… we’ll leave the pristine uniforms to the washing machine! 😉

For those who remember the days when our school uniform was sold upstairs on East Street, you might also remember Becky — the little girl who spent her summers and weekends playing shops with her Grandad, Mum and all the staff. 🫶🏻

Fast forward a few years and the reins have now been passed down to her.

These days, you’ll mostly find Becky behind the scenes — chatting to schools and suppliers, buying cakes for the staff (arguably one of the most important jobs!), and generally making sure everything runs smoothly for the whole team.

And, of course, the family tradition continues! From time to time, you might spot Becky’s children hanging around during the school holidays and weekends, helping with everything from cleaning and sorting the shop to keeping the staff entertained. 🫣

So, if you spot Becky around, give her a smile… and she might even share something from her secret stash of stickers. 🧡

Every year, there’s always one school that surprises us… and this year, there have already been a few! 🦄✨

One that definitely deserves a special mention is St. Michael’s Middle School — your jumpers absolutely flew out the door! 🫶🏼

We’ve done a few trades, begged our wonderful suppliers for more, and somehow managed to get a few extra jumpers knitted up! 🙌🏼✨
