We are please to announce a new Beginners Class across the school starting on Wednesday 2nd September.

🥋 Traditional Karate Club in Wombourne at Wombourne Civic Centre (Wombourne Parish Council), in The Wodehouse Suite on Mondays 6.45 to 7.45pm for a Junior Open Mat Practice session & a new Senior Class , with Wednesdays at 6.00 to 6.40 / 6.40 to 7.20 pm for Juniors and 7.20pm to 8pm for Seniors Students.

🥋We specialise in Children’s & Adults classes in Sankukai Karate, a style with the emphasis of Evasive techniques and traditional offences and defences. We are backed by our National Association & registered with EKO and are DBS cleared.

From Monday 7th to Sunday 13th September, our friendly team will be visiting locations across the county, including community centres, family hubs, fire stations, village halls and the Farmers Health Hubs at the Ploughing Matches.

An NHS Health Check is a quick and simple way for anyone over the age of 40 and under 74 who is currently undiagnosed with health issues such as blood pressure, cholesterol or diabetes to understand your health and identify potential risks early.

We are looking for a highly motivated, professional and forward-thinking individual to lead an ambitious Parish Council serving approximately 15,000 residents.

This is a varied and influential senior role, combining strategic leadership, governance, financial management, staff leadership and community engagement, at an important time for the Council as we prepare for the 2027 local elections and future local government reform and devolution.

📢 PARISH COUNCILLOR VACANCY – NORTH WARD

Following the sad death of Councillor Barry Bond MBE, a vacancy arose for a Parish Councillor representing the North Ward of Wombourne.

As no request for an election was received within the statutory period, Wombourne Parish Council is now able to fill the vacancy by co-option and we are inviting applications from eligible members of our community.

💬 Could you make a difference in Wombourne?
Being a Parish Councillor is an opportunity to represent local residents, get involved in issues affecting our community and help shape decisions about Wombourne. Please note that this is a voluntary and completely unpaid role. Councillors attend a monthly Full Council Meeting and up to two additional committee meetings per month, which are held on Monday evenings.

📅 Closing date: Friday 25 September 2026 at 5.00pm
Applicants will need to be available to attend the Full Council Meeting on Monday 26 October 2026, where they will be invited to give a short presentation of up to five minutes before Full Council votes to fill the vacancy.

Starting Monday 7th September
🕑 2.00pm – 2.30pm

Introducing Ballet With My Baby – a beautiful, magical dance class for little ones who are walking up to 2¾ years old. 💕

Led by Miss Eadie, this fun 30-minute class is the perfect introduction to ballet and the wonderful world of dance. 🌟

Each structured session is filled with:

🎼 Beautiful music

🧸 Teddy bears

Children will begin learning basic ballet skills, including:
