Another auction is all over here in York. Full results are now available online... some very good and expected, while other results were perhaps a little less so.

A little reminder that we will be closed this Monday for the late-May Bank Holiday but we will be open again on Tuesday for collections and consignments when lots will be welcomed for our next sale commencing with silver and jewellery.

It is auction week in York!

Our Antiques, Vintage, Collectors' and General Sale catalogue for our auction coming up this Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May is now live online.

It is a bigger than usual sale:

Thursday 21st will see lot 1 - 499 going under the hammer
Friday 22nd will see the remaining lots 600 - 834 on offer.

A super York interest painting coming up for auction at Wombell's this Thursday.
By collected Bradford-born artist Fred Jones this work on paper dated 1942 evocatively depicts troops waiting at York Station for trains to take them away presumably from leave back to service in the middle of World War Two.

Hello all, it is auction week here in York and the catalogue for this Thursday & Friday's sale is now live online - I know, it only seems like yesterday that we had our last auction.

This auction will start on Thursday 19th March with a collective selection of Silver & Jewellery lots before heading off into the usual mix of antiques, vintage and collectors' items. In total comprising lots 1 - 357.

The sale on Friday 20th March will comprise the remaining furniture and general lots - in all lot numbers 600 - 770.

Hello all.

The catalogue for this Thursday & Friday's auction in York is now live online. The usual mix of antiques, vintage, collectors items, decorators' lots, furniture and general goods features a quantity of carved oak panelling ex. of York Minster stores and a very extensive single estate collection of 1940s and later cigarette lighters.

Lots 1 - 421 will be offered this Thursday, 26th February, from 10am.
Lots 600 - 745 will be offered this Friday, 27th February, from 10am.
