function() x JAM pedals

A new Shopify home for JAM pedals, rebuilt around what defines the brand: the art, the pedals and the artists.

JAM pedals has been building analog effects in Athens since 2005. Every pedal is hand-wired and hand-painted, so no two look alike, and they've ended up on the boards of players from Slash to Bill Frisell.

On our side: a full migration from WooCommerce to Shopify, a redesigned storefront, a faster store, and optimized UI/UX that get players to the right pedal in fewer clicks.

Along with all that, we built a custom artwork wizard. Musicians choose their pedal, then either pick an artwork from JAM's gallery or send in their own idea for a quote. JAM's artists paint it by hand in Athens.

We also turned JAM's artists into a structured library using Shopify metaobjects. Each artist gets their own page and is linked to the pedals they play. Every product page automatically shows the artists using that pedal and links through to them.
When a new artist joins the roster, every pedal they use updates with them.

Crafted by hand in Athens. Played worldwide. Now running on Shopify.

Before the expo floor opened on Saturday, we were delighted to take part in the Shopify Partner Meet Up in Athens.

A great conversation over breakfast at the amazing surroundings of Café Canal in the Stavros Niarchos Park, with the people building, growing, and shaping the Shopify ecosystem across the region.

Developers, designers, service partners, and app development agencies; not just from Greece, but from Cyprus and Bulgaria too.

The refreshing discussions that emerged revolved around collaborations, agency growth, and where the market is heading. It's the kind of get-together that reminds you the Shopify ecosystem here is growing and is more connected than it sometimes looks from the inside.

A special shoutout to the teams from Omnisend and Pandectes for being there with us. And of course to Alvin Suen & Yael Weiss and from Shopify for making it happen 🙌
