National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited had the privilege of hosting Shri Satish Marathe, Director, Central Board of Reserve Bank of India; Director, National Housing Bank; Founder Member and Member, National Executive Council, Sahakar Bharati, along with Dr. Uday Joshi, National President, Sahakar Bharati, at its office in Anand.

The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions with the esteemed dignitaries on strengthening the cooperative sector, with particular focus on the role of dairy cooperatives in enhancing farmer prosperity, institutional governance, financial resilience, and cooperative-led rural development. National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited recently hosted a three-day Management Development Programme (MDP) in Goa from 27–29 April 2026. The immersive programme brought together 106 senior officials from 37 dairy cooperatives across the country, providing a dynamic platform for interactive learning, peer exchange, and meaningful collaboration.

Designed to strengthen leadership within the cooperative dairy sector, the programme featured key sessions on dairy sustainability, governance, strategic institutional development, and experience sharing by dairy cooperatives. These sessions equipped participants with practical insights, institutional perspectives, and frameworks to navigate the evolving dairy landscape. Team-building excursions further enriched the programme by creating opportunities for informal engagement, open knowledge sharing, and stronger professional bonding in a relaxed setting.

National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited is honoured to share that Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Home and Cooperation Minister, will grace the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the new dairy plant in Kargil, under the Ladakh Milk Federation, as the Chief Guest. The programme is scheduled to be held tomorrow, May 1, 2026, in Leh, Ladakh.

This landmark initiative at Ladakh Milk Federation, an important member of NCDFI, marks a significant step towards strengthening dairy infrastructure and promoting cooperative-led growth in the region. The support and guidance of National Dairy Development Board have provided a strong impetus to the overall dairy development in the region, enabling the creation of a more robust and sustainable dairy ecosystem. The enhanced infrastructure will play a vital role in ensuring a steady supply of fresh milk and dairy products to consumers, particularly the Defence Forces, while also creating an assured market for local dairy farmers. This, in turn, will support farmer livelihoods and contribute to their long-term prosperity.
