Celebrate the beauty of Mizoram—where lush green hills, winding valleys, and untouched landscapes remind us why responsible travel matters.

This Green Mizoram Day, let's explore with respect, travel mindfully, and help preserve nature for future generations.

The ocean covers more than 70% of our planet, yet its beauty depends on the choices we make every day. From crystal-clear beaches to vibrant marine life, every wave reminds us why protecting our oceans matters.

This World Ocean Day, let's travel responsibly, reduce plastic waste, and leave every destination better than we found it. Because the best ocean memories are the ones future generations can experience too.

Leave footprints on the shore, not plastic in the ocean.

Not every destination asks for your attention.
Ladakh just steals it.

Most people visit Ladakh for the landscapes.
The mountains. The lakes. The roads that seem to disappear into the sky.
But hidden among them is something even older.

At Hemis Monastery, a 350-year-old tradition is still alive. Every summer, monks perform the sacred Cham dance wearing elaborate masks and flowing robes, moving to the sound of drums, cymbals, and Tibetan horns.

These aren't performances for tourists. They're prayers. Rituals passed down through generations in one of the most remote corners of the Himalayas.

And once every 12 years, thousands gather to witness the unveiling of a giant sacred thangka — a rare event that will happen again in 2028.
Some places preserve history.

Ladakh still lives inside it.

Some journeys stay with you long after the trip ends.

The laughter, the people, the quiet moments, the stories you carry back home, that’s what makes travel unforgettable.

This Eid al-Adha, may your life be filled with meaningful journeys, beautiful memories, and moments worth holding onto.

Valley of Flowers is one of those places that genuinely feels edited by nature itself.

You go expecting “nice views” and suddenly you’re walking through clouds, random waterfalls, endless flowers, wet shoes, zero network, and mountains making you feel aggressively tiny.

And somehow the rain makes everything better.

Also nobody tells you the trek is basically:
10% photography
90% convincing yourself you’re physically built for the Himalayas.

Then Hemkund Sahib appears out of nowhere like a reward for surviving your own bad decisions.

Save this before monsoon season disappears again.

India really said “I’ll keep this one lowkey” and gave us Chopta 🌿

No chaos, no honking, no overhyped cafés… just pine forests that smell like rain, quiet meadows, and clouds casually drifting through the mountains like they belong there.

And then there’s Tungnath Temple you climb for hours questioning your life choices… and suddenly, boom, the Himalayas just open up around you like a movie scene you didn’t expect to be part of.

This is that soft, untouched, almost unreal side of India no one talks about enough.

And honestly… maybe that’s what makes it even better.

Follow Monks & Monkeys Travels for places that feel made up 🌍✨

Some places don’t feel like destinations… they feel like a secret you weren’t supposed to find.

You start the climb thinking it’s just another trek.
Same mountains, same turns, same exhaustion.
But somewhere along the way, the noise drops. The air changes. And suddenly, you’re walking through something that doesn’t look real anymore.

It’s quiet in a way that feels loud.
No traffic, no chaos — just you, the rain, and colours you didn’t know existed outside wallpapers.

And the strange part?
It doesn’t stay.
You don’t bookmark it for “next time” because next time, it won’t be the same. That’s what makes it special.

Some places aren’t meant to be explored.
They’re meant to be experienced once… and remembered forever.
