For surrounding villages in Arunachal Pradesh, health centres like Senge are often the only place to turn for immediate medical care. Frequent power cuts put vaccine storage at risk, left clinics working in darkness and disrupted medical care.

By bringing uninterrupted solar power to health centres across Arunachal Pradesh, we ensure critical medical care remains accessible 24/7.

Delivering Sustainable Energy to the Last Mile!

93 health centres across Arunachal Pradesh now run on clean, uninterrupted solar power.

Yesterday, the Energy for Health initiative was officially inaugurated at UPHC Itafort, Itanagar, by the Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Shri Biyuram Wahge.

Executing this deployment alongside the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and the SELCO Foundation has been an immensely meaningful undertaking for our team.

Throughout this journey, we worked in remote facilities like the health centre in Senge, where families across multiple villages rely on a single clinic for care. In places like this, erratic power puts critical equipment, particularly Ice-Lined Refrigerators (ILRs) preserving essential vaccines, at constant risk. With decentralised solar power in place, these frontline centres can now deliver reliable, 24/7 healthcare without fear of outages.

For us at Aboriginal Energy, it is milestones like this that bring us closer to our purpose: Delivering Sustainable Energy to the Last Mile!

Since starting out in 2019, our journey at Aboriginal Energy has never been defined simply by the number of kilowatts we have installed. It has been shaped by the lives impacted, heartfelt conversations with families in villages that previously had no access to electricity, and the quiet realisation that clean power transforms everyday living, empowering the next generation to dream bigger.

What began with village electrification surveys, routine technical repairs, and small community consultations has steadily grown into a regional mission. Over the past several years, we have brought dependable power to schools, medical clinics, and remote border villages where the main grid could not reach. Solar energy creates lasting value when it directly serves people.

As we look to the future, our core commitment remains unchanged: Delivering Sustainable Energy to the Last Mile!

At Primary Health Centre (PHC) Lhou in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, extreme weather, rugged mountain terrain, and frequent grid outages posed severe hurdles for everyday medical care. For a remote community miles away from tertiary health centres, an uninterrupted power supply is essential.

With the installation of decentralized solar power by Aboriginal Energy, PHC Lhou is now equipped with reliable, round-the-clock clean energy:

❄️ Unbroken Cold-Chain Storage: Ensures the Ice-Lined Refrigerator (ILR) stays at the precise temperature required to preserve critical vaccines and medicines safely.

💡 Continuous Diagnostics & Treatment: Reliable power runs specialized equipment—from dental units to clinic diagnostic tools—without the risk of sudden blackout interruptions.

🌡️ Essential Heating & Lighting: Keeps treatment rooms well-lit and warm during severe winter temperatures, ensuring comfortable care for patients and staff alike.

Hear directly from the medical officer at PHC Lhou on how sustainable solar energy is elevating healthcare delivery and safeguarding the well-being of the local community.

Clean energy isn’t just about power generation - it’s about powering resilience where it is needed most.
