Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni with a Shirui Lily silk stole, inspired by the rare and iconic Shirui Lily that blooms exclusively on the mist-covered Shirui Kashong peak of Manipur.

With its delicate bell-shaped petals and soft pinkish-white hue, the Shirui Lily stands as a symbol of Manipur’s uniqueness, elegance, and identity.

Through this thoughtful gesture, the rich traditions, craftsmanship and cultural spirit of the Northeast travelled beyond borders, strengthening the message of heritage, friendship and pride.
