Me Udyojak Vijay Chapter Chapter Highlights | 25th August 2026
The Vijay Chapter of Me Udyojak witnessed an engaging and meaningful session filled with learning, collaboration, referrals and, most importantly, stronger business relationships.
๐ค A New Approach to Business Pitching
One of the highlights of the session was an innovative activity introduced by Amit Manjrekar, Regional Director โ Vijay Chapter, Mulund.
Instead of members pitching their own businesses, members were asked to pitch for one another.
The activity encouraged everyone to look beyond their own business and understand what their fellow members actually do. It helped members introspect on:
* How well they understand another member's business
* How effectively they can explain and promote it
* What information they need to understand better
* How they can become better ambassadors for each other's businesses
It was a simple yet powerful exercise that reinforced the true spirit of networking: knowing each other's business well enough to confidently recommend it.
Educational Slot: Grooming in Business & Business Networking
Kalpana B. Shende conducted an insightful educational session on โGrooming in Business & Grooming in Business Networking.โ
The session went beyond appearance and highlighted that grooming is also about how we look, speak, behave and connect with people. As the presentation rightly emphasised, first impressions can become lasting impressions.
Members were introduced to the three important pillars of business grooming:
1. Personal Grooming: Neat appearance, appropriate dressing, hygiene and a positive smile.
2. Communication Grooming: Speaking clearly, listening actively and using positive language.
3. Digital Grooming: Maintaining a professional WhatsApp DP, updated social media profiles and consistent personal branding.
The networking aspect was equally practical, with emphasis on being punctual, listening more, maintaining eye contact, carrying business cards and following up after meetings, while avoiding hard selling, interruptions and excessive self-promotion.
The session beautifully summed up the networking philosophy as:
Know โ Like โ Trust โ Refer
Because while people may forget what you said, they remember how you made them feel.
Powerteam B: Trust Turning into Business
The Powerteam B presentation showcased another important aspect of successful networking, building trust through action.
Each member shared how they had helped their clients, earned their trust and developed relationships that have continued to grow.
A specific and actionable referral ask came from Navin Poojary and Jignesh Ganatra, who were looking for an HR contact from a reputed organisation..
The ask received an immediate positive response from Jeetendra Dhiman, who confirmed that he has a relevant contact and would connect with the Powerteam B members.
This was a great example of how a clear referral ask, combined with a supportive network, can quickly open the right doors.
Best Grooming Award winner: Manoj Tambat
A fitting recognition, especially after an educational session that highlighted how personal grooming, communication and behaviour contribute to professional credibility.
The Numbers That Matter
The session delivered some encouraging networking numbers:
* References Shared: 19
* Thank You Slips: โน10,500
* 1-to-1 Meetings: 7
Behind every number is a conversation, a connection and an opportunity to create value for another member.
