A creative family run winery since 1911 Since then, over a hundred vintages have gone by, with four generations following one another.

The history of the Bava Family starts in Cocconato, a village that rises steeply up the hillsides of the Monferrato Astigiano. The Bava Family has grown grape vines in this territory since 1600 and in 1911 in the very same area the family built their first wine cellar. The best Bava Barberas are renowned in the world thanks to their high quality. Today, the family estate extends in Monferrato and

Langa, with twenty hectares of natural fields and woods and fifty-five vineyards, cultivated with the same awareness, care and attention of the olden times resulting in a sustainable agriculture with a reduced environmental impact. Walking along the Bava vineyards, you will notice the grass clippings and the prunings used as natual fertilizers, the poles, all strictly made of wood coming from renewable forests or grassing between vine rows, which not only helps prevent soil erosion, but also serves as proof that no hebicides are used.

È un momento di nuovi inizi per i nostri vigneti a Cocconato... 🌱
A Tuffo stiamo ampliando il vigneto di Nebbiolo, insieme al riassetto dell’appezzamento con una nuova impostazione dei filari. A Bricco della Pieve a Cocconato, invece, stiamo rinnovando gli impianti di Barbera, con un intervento dedicato alla conservazione dello storico vigneto in cui nasce il nostro Stradivario.
Sono lavori che richiedono tempo, cura e visione, perché ogni scelta in vigna contribuisce a costruire il futuro dei nostri vini. 🍇✨

It's a time of new beginnings for our vineyards in Cocconato... 🌱
At Tuffo, we're expanding the Nebbiolo vineyard, along with reorganizing the plot with a new row structure. At Bricco della Pieve in Cocconato, we're renovating the Barbera vineyards, with a project dedicated to preserving the historic vineyard where our Stradivario is born.
These are jobs that require time, care, and vision, because every choice in the vineyard contributes to building the future of our wines. 🍇✨
