I started the Easter weekend with dear friends over lunch at Osteria dell’Unione in Treiso, followed by a tasting at Pelissero in Barbaresco.
The last time I sat here was fifteen years ago. Returning now, the landscape feels almost unchanged — the rolling hills, the quiet villages, and the Alps resting on the horizon on a clear spring day.
At Pelissero we tasted their Barbaresco Vanotu, the estate’s flagship wine, from their most prestigious cru, with Nebbiolo vines now around sixty years old.
Some places have a way of holding time still. This corner of Barbaresco is one of them. pelissero
