UnlockEquality Activities
The UnlockEquality project has finalised its first activities aimed at promoting gender equality in workplaces and educational settings.
Through these activities, the partners have strengthened knowledge and awareness among employees and educators, helping them better recognise and address inequality in their everyday environments. The activities will promote a deeper understanding of gender equality concepts and encourage more inclusive attitudes by challenging stereotypes and supporting respectful communication.
One key activity involved the collection of examples of bad practices and common mistakes related to gender inequality from all partner countries. These findings provided valuable insight into how inequality can appear in professional and educational contexts and highlighted the need for practical action.
The partnership developed a practical checklist to help employees, managers, and educators identify behaviours, attitudes, and practices that may contribute to gender inequality. This tool offers clear guidance in creating more inclusive and equitable environments. All partners made reference to relevant EU legislation sources so that both employees and employers can better understand and verify European guidelines .
These initial activities represent an important contribution to the overall goals of UnlockEquality. By combining research, reflection, and practical resources, this research and tools will helping to lay a foundation for stronger equality awareness and more respectful environments across organisations and educational institutions.
