CHANGING OUTCOMES THROUGH PRAYER & FASTING 🙏🏽

Today’s service reminded me that fasting is not punishment; it is a spiritual discipline that helps us seek God, gain clarity, and position ourselves for divine intervention. 🙏🏽

📖 Isaiah 58:5 | 2 Chronicles 20:4 | Isaiah 40:31

Why do we fast?

1️⃣ To birth God’s purpose — Fasting and prayer help us enforce what God has spoken. 🙏🏽

2️⃣ To receive light, clarity & direction — When you need wisdom for decisions, seek God intentionally. 💡

3️⃣ To invite divine intervention — When situations are beyond our control, we can take our prayers to another level. 🙌🏽

4️⃣ For renewal — “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31 ✨

What is fasting?

Fasting is intentionally abstaining from food and certain pleasures for a set time to seek the Lord. It is not self-punishment to make God answer us.

Without prayer, fasting becomes merely hunger. 🙏🏽

How can we make our fasting more meaningful?

Have a clear objective.
Spend time in worship.
Reduce distractions and give God your time.
Couple your fasting with generosity and giving.

Fasting is a secret investment that can produce a public result.

Whatever outcome you are trusting God to change, take it to Him in prayer.

Aligning Your Life With God’s Will

📖 Exodus 28:41 — “…anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me…”

Why is consecration important?

1️⃣ It keeps our hearts and motives right.
2️⃣ It helps us hear God clearly and obey Him.
3️⃣ It helps us manage both the desperation of need and the intoxication of success.

You can be a Christian and still not live a consecrated life.

We have been chosen, set apart, and called for a divine purpose. We are blessed to be a blessing, and God has given each of us gifts, talents, experiences, and resources to steward for His glory. 🙏🏽

Consecration means placing ourselves on the altar and saying, “Lord, my life belongs to You.”

How do we live a consecrated life?

✅ Consecrate your time to God.
✅ Consecrate your finances to God.
✅ Consecrate your talents and experiences to God.
Let God use even your pain as a testimony and a ministry.

Key reminder: Your purpose is bigger than you. What God has placed in your hands is not just for you—it can become a blessing to someone else. ❤️

Today, ask yourself:
“Lord, am I truly living for Your purpose, or am I only asking You to bless my plans?”

May our lives continually align with His will. 🙏🏽

SUNDAY SERVICE NUGGET: THE POWER OF SELF-DENIAL 🙏🏽

📖 Daniel 1:8–10 | Mark 8:33–35

Self-denial is not punishment; it is discipline that helps you align with God’s will.

Why is self-denial important?

1️⃣ It helps you tame your appetite: 🍽️
For some, it’s food. For others, it may be sleep, talking too much, entertainment, or anything that constantly demands their attention.

2️⃣ It challenges a culture of self-indulgence:
Self-denial is being able to say, “I can do this, but I choose not to.” Not everything you can do is something you should do.

3️⃣ It honors God:
Self-denial means saying no to yourself when your desires compete with God’s will.

Every time you decide to grow spiritually, there will be distractions trying to pull you back. But you must choose what strengthens your spirit.

Start with a decision.
Pray every day. Build a routine of renewal. Develop spiritual rituals that give you renewed strength. Stop feeding the negative and start feeding your spirit.

Sometimes growth begins with one simple word:

NO.

Maybe it’s fear.
Maybe it’s overthinking.
Maybe you’re waiting to feel “ready.”
Maybe you’re scared of failing or what people will say.

But here’s the truth: you don’t need to know everything before you begin.

You need the courage to take the first step, learn as you go, and stay consistent.

Stop waiting for perfect.
Start with what you have.
Learn. Grow. Adjust. Repeat.

Your future may be waiting on the decision you’re afraid to make today. ❤️

CONSECRATION: THERE ARE DEPTHS IN CHRIST YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THROUGH SURRENDER. 🙏🏽

📖 “For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” — 1 Peter 2:9

Consecration means being set apart for God. It is saying, “Not my will, but Your will be done.”

Why is consecration important?

1️⃣ It preserves what God is doing in your life.
Success can change people, but consecration keeps your heart humble. It helps you handle money, influence, power, and the applause of people without losing yourself.

2️⃣ It makes hearing and obeying God easier.
Consecration is choosing YES to God—even when His instruction stretches you, challenges you, or doesn’t make sense to you.

Sometimes, God will touch the very area you are most protective of. That is where surrender becomes real.

You cannot fight God and win. He has never lost a battle. So instead of resisting Him, surrender to Him.

Consecration means living differently.
As believers, we are called to be set apart—not to follow every pattern of the world. Even in relationships, our choices should reflect God’s purpose for our lives.

When your prayer life starts declining or you sense that something is shifting in your walk with God, don’t ignore the signal. Pause. Pray. Realign. Return. 🙏🏽

🔥 Consecration is losing the desire to say NO to God and developing a heart that says YES.

This Sunday, ask yourself:

“God, is there any area of my life I am holding back from You?”

Surrender it.
Trust Him.
Obey Him.
Let Him have His way.

There are depths in Christ that surrender will take you into that comfort never will. 🙏🏽

SUNDAY SERVICE NUGGET: EXPERIENCING A PERSONAL SPIRITUAL REVIVAL

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 🙏

Personal revival begins when we realize that our lives belong to God and not to ourselves. Consecration is making God our number one priority and surrendering completely to His will. ❤️

📌 Why is consecration important?

Consecration makes us trustworthy vessels in God’s hands.

Consecration tames desperation and keeps us from compromising our values.

Consecration helps us follow God’s will, keeps our focus on Him, and gives us spiritual clarity.

Sometimes, success can be deceptive. In our pursuit of achievements, have we allowed our desire for God to decrease? 🤔

Consecration means:

🌿 Dying to self and living for God.

🌿 Losing the ability to say “No” to God.

🌿 Having no Plan B because God is the only plan.

🌿 Living a life that reveals and glorifies Jesus.

When results are not visible, consecration keeps us standing. Behind every divine calling is a life fully yielded to God. 🙌

Prayer: Lord, we give ourselves completely to You. Let our lives reveal Your glory and draw us closer to You every day. I want more of You and less of me.
