The room smelled different. 🌸
Not stale conference room air.
Not the usual “training” energy.
This room had intention.
January 21st, we launched Cohort 1 of SiSa Academy, and I’m still processing what happened.
We didn’t do typical HR training.
We designed an experience:
👃 A scent consultant curated the atmosphere (yes, really)
📝 Words positioned on walls to interrupt old thinking: “Stop fixing people. Start redesigning systems.” “HR was born from necessity, not kindness.”
🧠 Every detail crafted to shift identity not just teach concepts
The Mission: HR as an Environment of Influence, For too long, Nigerian HR has been trapped in admin purgatory, but we We gathered 15 HR professionals, founders, and leaders to reframe everything. In that room the mapped their influence, understood power structures and dynamics. They learned HR investigative intelligence and mastered the formula for solving problems. Mind blowing indeed. One participant said it out loud during a breakout: “I’ve been trying to change people. I should have been changing the system.” HR’s job is not to control humans but to architect the system where the best behavior is the easiest option. This is just Cohort 1.
