Always a pleasure spending time with the
Today we focused on leadership, not as theory, but as something that can be applied immediately.

What stood out was how quickly the conversation moved from concepts to action. From understanding the business and how it really works, to thinking more intentionally about decisions, to translating culture into everyday behavior and even sales.

Today

Leadership became less about position, and more about clarity, responsibility, and how work is actually structured and carried out.

Perhaps the most encouraging part was seeing how easily the ideas could be taken back into the branch and applied, just a way of working differently.

I promise you, I’m still relieving SiSa HR Academy (SHRA) cohort 3

I’m not It was the 8 hours of teaching.

I believe it was the hunger in the room.
The undeniable pull and desire for more. And like the saying goes, when the student is ready the teacher showed up.

This particular cohort stretched me and I’m truly grateful. Even more grateful for the grace to not just teach but to translate in a way that met them at their point of growth. The grace to create a ladder the audience looked forward to climbing. The grace to not teach theories or borrowed frameworks, but to localize learnings to our people, leadership and cultural realities. I count it a great honor and privilege to be a part of this HR redesign movement. We will soon take this to the quarters that matter. For now we keep building, we keep showing up, we keep refining one HR soul at a time.

Cheers to more opportunities to firmly and gently shift HR professionals forward

Last month, we ran Sisa Academy Cohort 1 and it was the most authentic experience we have curated in a while.

Cohort 2 of SiSa HR Academy starts tomorrow. It’s a 4 week program (hybrid). And I still have some slots open. It’s worth more than 800k per person, but we discounted it to N200,000 only.

HRs train others but most of our HR don’t get time to get more knowledge.

We need to strengthen our talent leads with more people-management skills, real-world insights in this fast changing landscape of work.

This room had intention.

January 21st, we launched Cohort 1 of SiSa Academy, and I’m still processing what happened.

We didn’t do typical HR training.

We designed an experience:

👃 A scent consultant curated the atmosphere (yes, really)

📝 Words positioned on walls to interrupt old thinking: “Stop fixing people. Start redesigning systems.” “HR was born from necessity, not kindness.”

🧠 Every detail crafted to shift identity not just teach concepts

The Mission: HR as an Environment of Influence, For too long, Nigerian HR has been trapped in admin purgatory, but we We gathered 15 HR professionals, founders, and leaders to reframe everything. In that room the mapped their influence, understood power structures and dynamics. They learned HR investigative intelligence and mastered the formula for solving problems. Mind blowing indeed. One participant said it out loud during a breakout: “I’ve been trying to change people. I should have been changing the system.” HR’s job is not to control humans but to architect the system where the best behavior is the easiest option. This is just Cohort 1.

Yesterday reminded me why I do this work.

The Clarity Shift panel was powerful, honest, and deeply human, and I’m so grateful to the organisers especially for both the invitation and the recognition. Thank you for the award and the love in the room.

One thing became very clear:
People don’t need more goals.
They need alignment between mindset, behaviour, and the systems they live inside every day.

That’s what makes a year not just ambitious… but unshakeable.

Thank you to the incredible panelists for such a rich, thoughtful conversation. We are all building from different places, but the heart was shared.
