Now that's a windscreen! 🤯

One of our long-term customers recently brought in this absolute beast of a Tesla Model X for a windscreen replacement.

There's no denying it's an intimidating piece of glass, but fortunately our team has plenty of experience working on Teslas (and just about every other vehicle on the road). We had the new windscreen fitted, calibrated, and the vehicle back on the road in just a few hours.

Pet doors! 🐱🐶

We've recently updated our website to include some information about our most popular pet doors

✅ Existing non-safety glass can usually be cut if:

-The opening is small enough that a person couldn't fall through it.
-The glass isn't in a door or within 300mm of a door where it could be mistaken for one.

For example, a 500 × 500mm laundry window can often be cut to fit a cat door, whereas a ranch slider will require a new safety glass panel.

💰 Typical pricing:

-Existing glass (where it can be cut): Usually under $200.
-Single-glazed safety glass replacement: Generally $250–$500*, depending on the glass size, pet door chosen, and travel required.
-Double-glazed units: Typically $600–$900*, depending on the glass size, unit type, and pet door selected.

I'm still working on making sure the boys (who are EXCELLENT at doing the jobs, technology is still up for debate though 😂) get me good quality videos, but I think you get the jist!

We had a job in Russell last week that required attention because some overhead glass panels were slipping out of their mounts due to being ordered incorrectly sized many years ago 😬

Two men, two days, a pack of rivets, some aluminium channel and a good dollop of kiwi ingenuity and one happy customer 💪😁
