Join us on Tuesday 25th August for our next BA5 at Plan Bee
5.15pm - 6.30pm

We will hear from Jason Topp - founder of SMYD Accounting / Advisory. Jason draws on decades of experience to help business owners make sure it's one worth telling.

Since the birth of SMYD in 2016, Jason has built an award-winning practice on a simple but powerful premise: that the best business decisions start with knowing the life you want to live. It's a philosophy he's tested personally, moving away from city life and climbing the corporate ladder with the likes of Spark NZ and Insurance Australia Group to build something entirely on his own terms, alongside his wife and business partner Leah.
A Chartered Accountant with a BCom from Victoria University of Wellington, Jason brings a rare combination of commercial rigour and genuine entrepreneurial empathy to his work. SMYD Accounting / Advisory now serves clients from Northland to Southland, with a team of ten and a reputation for being anything but a traditional accounting firm.

Beyond the numbers, Jason hosts the podcast Strength in Numbers, runs business coaching and leadership retreats in Fiji, and regularly panels for industry organisations like Chartered Accountants ANZ... all fuelled by an authentic passion for business and the people who build them - the wins, the hard lessons, and everything in between.

We are looking forward to this event, let us know if you can make it! Email [email protected]

Have your say on the future of the Hauraki Rail Trail!

The Hauraki Rail Trail is one of the region's most significant recreation and tourism assets. Hauraki District Council, Matamata-Piako District Counciland Thames-Coromandel District Council are working together on a review of the Hauraki Rail Trail and the Trail’s future direction. TRC Tourism has been engaged to undertake this review and survey.

We are seeking feedback from residents, businesses and community members to better understand how the Trail is used, the benefits it provides, opportunities for improvement, and priorities for the future.

We invite you to take part in this short online survey that takes approximately 8 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until Sunday 26th July.

Reponses will be confidential and only used for the purposes of this Trail review.
