MUSEUM DAY, ANY DAY! 🏛️

October is officially Museums and Galleries Month in the Philippines, following Presidential Proclamation No. 798, signed in 1991, which designated October for the annual celebration and named the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) as its lead agency.

The month-long observance highlights the role of museums and galleries in preserving and promoting Philippine art, history, culture, and heritage.

Looking for a budget-friendly way to celebrate? Several museums around Metro Manila offer free admission, including the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, the Museo ng Katipunan, and the Museo ng Makati.

Save this list for your next museum crawl.

Dapat mas integrated ang mga solutions. Naniniwala kami sa EnviSoc na ang flooding ay isang systemic na isyu dapat tugunan ng iba’t-ibang sector.

Thank you for this Dr. Charles Gunay.

Got old, unused, or unwanted electronic devices lying around? Tomorrow is the time to let them go—responsibly! 🔌📱💻

The UPLB Environmental Science Society (UPLB EnviSoc), in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration (OVCCA), invites all UPLB constituents to our Electronic Waste Collection Drive!

📅 September 19, 2026 (Saturday)
⏰ 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM
📍 In front of D.L. Umali Hall

This initiative aims to collect, classify, and quantify Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) generated by UPLB constituents. The information gathered will help establish baseline data on the volume and diversity of e-waste in the university and support future waste management, resource recovery, and research initiatives.

So, before those old gadgets become permanent residents of your drawers… bring them along tomorrow! 👀

Let’s give our electronic waste a more responsible destination and turn waste into information for a more sustainable UPLB. 🌏💚

See you tomorrow at Freedom Park!
