Pursuant to the Bangsamoro Holidays Act (BAA No. 39), the entire Bangsamoro region will observe the following holidays from May 26 to 28, 2026:

• May 26 (Tuesday): Day of Arafah (Special Non-Working Holiday)

• May 27 (Wednesday): Eid’l Adha (Regular Non-Working Holiday)

• May 28 (Thursday): 1st Day of Tashriq (Special Non-Working Holiday)

Please note that May 25 (Monday) remains a regular working day for all offices. Additionally, for offices on a Four-Day Compressed Workweek (Monday–Thursday), since Friday is already your regular rest day, your long weekend will effectively extend from Tuesday, May 26, all the way until Sunday, May 31, 2026.

modernization agenda and its mandate under Republic Act (RA) No. 9711, also known as the “FDA Act of 2009,” the FDA issued Administrative Order (AO) No. 2024-0016, entitled “Implementing Guidelines on the New Schedule of Fees and Charges of the FDA,” which provides an updated schedule of fees and charges to reflect current operational requirements and support service improvements. The revision of FDA fees and charges aims to ensure that safe and high-quality health products remain accessible to the public by strengthening the FDA’s capacity to regulate and support the health sector.

I. BACKGROUND

The 1987 Constitution, under Article II, Section 15, declares the State’s policy to protect and promote the people’s right to health and to foster health consciousness. Further, Article XIII, Section 12 mandates the establishment and maintenance of an effective food and drug regulatory system that undertakes appropriate health services, manpower development, and research responsive to national health needs and concerns.
