CAR IMPORT POLICY 2026.
S.R.O. 6 | Q)12026.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) of section
3 of the imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1950 (###IX of t950), the Federal government is
pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in the Import( Policy Order,
2022, namely in the aforesaid Order,-
A. in paragraph 16. the words and comma "personal baggage," shall be omitted;
B. in Appendix-B, in part II in column (l), against serial No. (20), in column (4) the
words and comma "Personal Baggage," shall be omitted; and
C. in Appendix-E,-
(a) in riding clause, the words and comma "PERSONAL BAGGAGE," shall be
omitted;
(b) in clause l, for sub- clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely: -
"(b) "last three years" for the purpose of eligibility to import or gift another car,
means a period of eight hundred and fifty days from the date on which Goods
Declaration for the last import under this Order was filed;";
(c) in clause 2,-
(i) in sub clause ( l), in the proviso, for the word "two" the word "three" shall
be substituted:
(ii) in sub-clause (2), the words "personal baggage or on" shall be omitted;
(d) in clause 3,-
(i) in sub-clause ( I ), the comma and words ", personal baggage" shall be omitted;
(ii) in sub-clause (2), the comma and words ", personal baggage" shall be omitted;
(iii) sub-clause (3) shall be omitted;
(iv) in sub-clause (4), for the figure "700", the figure "850" shall be substituted;
(v) in sub-clause (6), the comma and words ", personal baggage" shall be omitted;
(vi) in sub-clause (8), the comma and word ", baggage" shall be omitted; and
(vii) after sub-clause (9), the following new sub-clauses shall be added, namely;
"( l0) Vehicles imported under gift or transfer of residence scheme shall
remain non-transferable for one year from the date of
importation.
(l l) Minimum safety. environmental standards and regulatory
measures as applicable to commercial importation of used
vehicles, duly notified by the MOIP/EDB shall apply mutatis
mutandis to vehicles imported under the gift and transfer of
residence schemes.";
(e) in clause 4,-
(i) sub-clause (l) shall be omitted; and
(ii) in sub-clause (3), after the semi colon, at the end, the word "and" shall be
inserted and thereafter the following new sub-clause shall be added,
namely:-
"(d). Vehicles imported under the transfer of residence scheme shall be
from the same country, where the overseas Pakistani resides"'; and
(f) in clause 5, for the words "personal baggage", the words "transfer of residence"
shall be substituted.
